  • Publication number: 20180256855
Abstract: The needle protection cover of a catheter assembly is provided with: an inner cylinder; an outer cylinder capable of being axially displaced relative to the inner cylinder; a blocking body disposed in the inner cylinder in a displaceable manner; and a lock mechanism for restraining the blocking body at the position where the blocking body blocks an inner needle passage. As an inner needle is pulled out, the blocking body is pressed by contact sections formed on the outer cylinder, thereby being moved from an initial position to a blocking position, and the blocking body is held at the blocking position by the lock mechanism.

  • Patent number: 8292530
Abstract: A slide body (6) is arranged in a cut-away portion of a holder (1) under a clip (2a) so as to not hinder writing or portability, and a safety mechanism is constituted so as to be engaged with the clip (2a). Due to functions of a knock rod cam (4a) of a knock rod (4) and a knock cam (3a) of a rotor (3), further, the rotor (3) is rotated and moved forward responsive to each knocking operation, a refill (7) is brought to a writing position and a holding position alternately responsive to each knocking operation due to a cam mechanism provided in the inner wall of an inner cylinder (2) and a reactive force of a spring (5). A slide body cam (6a) provided on the slide body (6) is incorporated in a portion of the cam mechanism so that the knock type writing instrument thrusts the pen point out, by one knock even after the safety operation.

  • Patent number: 7938592
Abstract: A refill of a low viscosity water-based ink ballpoint pen is provided with a housing, a pen tip attached to a front end of the housing, an ink tank (4) formed inside the housing, an ink guide member guiding ink in the ink tank (4) to the pen tip, and an air passage formed between the ink tank and the pen tip in the housing and connecting the ink tank and outside of the housing. The inside of the ink tank is divided by partition walls (11) into a plurality of ink chambers arranged in the longitudinal direction, and the ink guide member is used to guide the ink in these ink chambers from the ink chambers close to the pen tip successively to the pen tip. A substantially uniform clearance (13) is provided over the entire circumferences between the outer circumferential surface of each partition wall (11) and the inner circumferential surface of the ink tank (4). A ring-shaped ink film formed at each clearance (13) is used to hold the ink in each ink chamber.

  • Patent number: 7931415
Abstract: Upon depressing a knock rod in a state of writing of FIG. 8A, a cam protuberance 3b of a rotor turns rightward to assume a position shown in FIG. 8B. Upon removing a finger, the cam protuberance 3b turns sliding on a tilted surface, arrives at a position shown in FIG. 8C through a first vertical motion (distance d) and, further, arrives at a position shown in FIG. 8D through a second vertical motion (distance e). Here, a tilted surface of cam protuberance 3b comes in collision with a tilted surface of an inner cylinder cam 2b twice, and shocks are transmitted to a refill 7. By forming a step between the front half and the rear half of the tilted surface of the inner cylinder cam 2b, however, a distance of vertical motion of the cam protuberance 3b each time is shortened to decrease the shock of collision imparted to the refill each time.

  • Patent number: 6145969
Abstract: An ink refilling method for an ink cartridge which is provided therein with a spring assembly for generating a negative pressure inside the cartridge being refilled with ink while applying a compression onto the spring assembly. In this method, the compression is removed so as to allow the spring assembly to expand and to generate the negative pressure. The application and removal of the compression is provided by a pressure tool that has an elastic metal strip bent so as to press the spring assembly; and the ink refilling is accomplished using an opening tool for making an access to the inside of the ink cartridge and an ink refilling adapter for introducing ink from an ink supply into the ink cartridge, which form an ink refilling kit along with the pressure tool.
