  • Patent number: 7737932
Abstract: A drive circuit for driving a display device includes: a first data latch circuit that holds image data corresponding to one line from; a second data latch circuit that holds image data held in the first data latch circuit; a decoding circuit that decodes the image data held in the second data latch circuit; a gradation amplifier circuit that includes gradation amplifiers that amplify or buffer, and output respective gradation voltages; a gradation voltage selection circuit that selects gradation voltages necessary for display; a decision circuit that decides on use/non-use of gradations, using the image data; and an enabling/disabling circuit that selectively disables operation of the gradation amplifiers corresponding to gradations that are identified as not to be used, using the decision results output from the decision circuit.

  • Publication number: 20060262059
Abstract: A drive circuit includes a logic section having a data bus and a display memory circuit and configured to read out a plurality of gradation data from the display memory circuit through the data bus and to collectively output the plurality of gradation data as display pixel data; and a drive section configured to drive a display unit based on analog gradation signals which are generated based on the display pixel data outputted from the logic section. The drive circuit further includes a power supply circuit configured to supply at least one of first and second power supply voltages to the logic section and the drive section. The logic section, the drive section and the power supply circuit may be formed in a same semiconductor chip.

  • Patent number: 6894605
Abstract: Recognition result of an objective recognized as a preceding vehicle is analyzed to judge whether this objective is correctly detected as a vehicle or not. A relative acceleration is calculated based on a relative speed corresponding to the objective when analysis result shows properness of this objective as a vehicle. The relative acceleration is set to 0 when analysis result shows improperness of the objective. An inter-vehicle control amount is corrected based on the obtained relative acceleration. The distance between the preceding vehicle and the controlled vehicle is controlled based on the corrected inter-vehicle control amount.

  • Publication number: 20030045991
Abstract: A travel control system for a subject vehicle includes a radar device for detecting preceding vehicles with respect to the subject vehicle. A controlling device operates for detecting, among the detected preceding vehicles, an interested preceding vehicle which immediately precedes the subject vehicle, and for accelerating and decelerating the subject vehicle in response to a condition of the interested preceding vehicle. A relative speed calculating device operates for calculating a relative speed between the subject vehicle and a next-lane preceding vehicle among the detected preceding vehicles. The next-lane preceding vehicle is a preceding vehicle in a lane next to a lane where the subject vehicle exists. The controlling device also operates for executing one of (1) suppression of acceleration of the subject vehicle and (2) deceleration control of the subject vehicle when the relative speed calculated by the relative speed calculating device is smaller than a prescribed negative value.

  • Patent number: 6226588
Abstract: An informing apparatus is designed for use with a cruise control system having at least one of a function of inter-vehicle control for enabling a present vehicle to follow a preceding vehicle and a function of constant-speed travel control for enabling the present vehicle to travel at a constant speed. In the informing apparatus, a determination is made as to whether or not a main switch is in its ON position. The main switch is designed for setting a state in which the cruise control system can start to operate. A determination is made as to whether or not a set switch is in its OFF position. The set switch is designed for commanding execution of cruise control. A speed of the present vehicle and a setting lower limit vehicle speed are indicated on a contradistinction basis when it is determined that the main switch is in its ON position while the set switch is in its OFF position. The setting lower limit vehicle speed denotes a lower limit of a vehicle speed range in which the cruise control is enabled.
