  • Patent number: 6456896
Abstract: The position of a feed shaft is monitored, the mean moving speed and moving frequency of the feed shaft are measured with every unit time for position correction, and a correction amount &dgr;n is determined from the speed and frequency according to an approximation formula and updated (c7 and c8). A position correction amount for a commanded position is determined from this correction amount, and the commanded position is corrected by the position correction amount (c1 to c6). The position correction amount for the commanded position is determined from this correction amount, and the commanded position is corrected by this position correction amount. Since the correction amount is determined according to the approximation formula, thermal displacement correction can be effected at all times without requiring any sensor.

  • Patent number: 5619414
Abstract: A method of correcting thermal displacement error in a driving system of a machine tool comprises forming a heat distribution model including the driving system, and finding an amount of drive in the driving system in the heat distribution model, estimating a heating value supplied to the heat distribution model depending upon the amount of drive, estimating a temperature distribution state in the distribution model by finding a time variation of heating value in the heat distribution model receiving supply of the estimated heating value, finding an amount of heat displacement in the driving system depending upon the temperature distribution state and finding a correction value for thermal displacement correction depending upon the amount of thermal displacement. It is thereby possible to correct the thermal displacement error in the driving system of the machine tool without a detector.

  • Patent number: 5321851
Abstract: A cross modulation interference free AM radio receiver with precise channel selection includes an RF amplifying circuit for a radio frequency (RF) signal incoming through an antenna (1; 101) to output a wide band RF signal and an automatic gain control (AGC) circuit (7; 107) for controlling the gain of the RF amplifying circuit in accordance with the field strength of the wide band RF signal. A circuit (3, 4, 5, 6; 109, 110, 111, 112, 113) as provided for extracting a desired signal from the wide band RF signal, and a first control circuit (81; 114, 116, 118) for reducing the AGC effect of the AGC circuit in a decrease in the field strength of the desired signal which results in an increase in the amplification rate of the RF amplifying circuit. A second control circuit (8) makes the first control circuit non-operative in response to an instruction of an automatic channel selection at which time the AGC circuit performs an AGC operation only in accordance with the field strength of a wide band RF signal.

  • Patent number: 5280643
Abstract: An RF signal received by an antenna is amplified in an amplifier circuit and is then tuned in a tuned circuit to pick up a signal having a certain frequency and a certain level. Then, the picked up signal is mixed with another signal to output an IF signal and the IF signal is detected to reproduce the desired broadcasting program. An AGC circuit ensures high and low levels of the received signal to make the received signal to a certain level. Further, a damping circuit capable of switching a damping amount by a sensitivity switching signal is arranged in the rear stage of the AGC circuit. Hence, intensity of a signal for performing a detection or the like can be exactly switched based of the sensitivity switching signal in an automatic broadcasting station selection.

  • Patent number: 5280641
Abstract: In a signal-strength-peak detecting circuit, tuning frequencies by a tuning circuit are periodically varied. Wide band seek is performed according to a signal level of the varied frequencies. When the signal level is greater than a predetermined value, a fine tuning circuit varies tuning frequencies to perform narrow band seek. Further, change of signal levels is detected during narrow band seek to decide whether the peak of the signal level is trapezoidal or rounded. When the peak is decided to be rounded, the maximum value is used as the peak. On the other hand, when the peak is decided to be trapezoidal, the central point of an upper side of the trapezoid is selected as an optimum peak.

  • Patent number: 5239701
Abstract: A radio receiver responsive to a received RF signal containing a plurality of channel frequencies each having broadcast information which includes a circuit for producing a wide band version of the received RF signal and a circuit for producing a narrow band version of the received RF signal. Selection of a channel at a given frequency is accomplished by using the wide band version of the received RF signal and after such selection is made, the narrow band version of the signal is used for further reception of the selected channel frequency and reproduction of the information thereon.

  • Patent number: 4870744
Abstract: In a tool exchange system, in which the selection of a tool (8) supported on a magazine (9) is done by the rotation of a main spindle (5) via a pair of gears (20) and (21), an elastic member (71) is provided so as to retain the magazine (9) in a machining position (pause position) which does not interfere with a machining operation. A first cam mechanism (11) is adapted to move the magazine (9) between a tool exchange position and the machining position in response to the vertical move of a Z-slider (3) moving along a column (1). • Patent number: 4544819
Abstract: When cutting workpiece into a desired number of closed loop configurations by means of a wire-cut, electric discharge machine provided with an automatic wire feed mechanism, electric discharge machining is started from a machining start hole made in the workpiece corresponding to each closed loop configuration and is performed to a point where the electric discharge machining operation is stopped, thus a part of the closed loop configuration is left uncut. After fixing at least one portion of each closed loop configuration to the workpiece and inserting the wire electrode into the machining start hole by the automatic wire feed mechanism, the electric discharge machining operation is resumed to cut off the remaining uncut part.
