  • Patent number: 6469974
Abstract: A record player suitable for a so-called scratch performance operation by which a phonograph record is directly rotated in forward and reverse direction to output new artificial sound by fingering of an operator is provided. The positional relationship between the record groove on the turntable and the supporting point P of the arm shaft is defined so as to suppress inward and outward component forces applied to the needlepoint of the cartridge as possible. Three points including a start point and an end point of the record groove on a straight line extending from the rotating shaft core of the turntable in a radial pattern and a rotation center of a tone arm, namely, the supporting point may form an isosceles triangle with the supporting point as an apex.

  • Patent number: 5396413
Abstract: Fractal operation is applied to motion of amenity products or rotating machines within a practical range and motion close to a natural phenomenon is realized by doing it. For example, a washing machine is structured so as to realize washing close to that of washing by hand. Control parameters are given to the control unit regularly and recursively by a fundamental rule and the processing is iterated. Furthermore, at least one of the control parameters is reduced, in which the reduction is effected gradually in accordance with a reduction rate and in which at least one of the reduction rate, the dimension of recursive iteration, and the number of times of self-similar iteration is given as a pseudo random number which varies within a predetermined range.

  • Patent number: 5144505
Abstract: Movable members of a tape guide member for tape loading are disposed in plural numbers on both the upstream side and the downstream side of a tape running path with respect to a rotatable cylinder, or are disposed in plural number on at least either the upstream side or the downstream side. The plurality of movable members are disposed offset from each other in the radial direction of the rotatable cylinder. Tilt guides for converting the tape running direction are disposed between the associated movable members, and fixed to the stationary component side. A guide passage forming member along which the movable members are guided is also fixed to the stationary component side. Guide portions of the guide passage forming member are provided in plural number individually associated with the movable members. The guide portion nearer to the rotatable cylinder is set to always have a larger tilt angle than that of the outer guide portion with the plane of a tape cassette being a reference.
