Abstract: Apart installation structure for a vehicle for attaching a part to a vehicle body through a bracket using an access hole established in the vehicle body and a surrounding portion of the access hole, comprises a bolt including a head capable of passing through the access hole and a thread section projecting from the head and passing through the access hole, a plate member including an opening section and capable of being attached to the thread section through the opening section, a nut for being screwed onto the thread section and for tightening the surrounding portion, the plate member and the bracket altogether, and a rotation stopper provided on the bracket for contacting the head after passing through the opening section and the access hole so as to restrict a rotation when the nut is screwed in.

Abstract: A nut is buried previously in the inside of a roof spoiler to direct an axis center of its threaded hole to a working hole of an inner panel. A concave seat portion is formed on a surface of the roof spoiler on an outer panel side. A spacer is adhered to the concave seat portion. The spacer has a hole opened at the center portion thereof, and a bolt seat surface and an inclined surface on the outer panel side. The outer panel is deformed and fitted tightly to the spacer by fastening the bolt. A threaded portion of a bolt is inserted into a through hole formed in the outer panel and then screwed into the nut via the hole in the spacer.

Abstract: A knee guard on the passenger side of a vehicle includes left and right knee guard brackets disposed along left and right side faces of a glove box and secured at a front end thereof to a steering support beam, a connecting member transversely connecting these left and right knee guard brackets and a closure member of the glove box. The closure member includes a reinforcement therein and the reinforcement has a closed cross section which extends in the widthwise direction of the vehicle. When the knees of a passenger abut against the closure member of the glove box in the event of a head-on impact, the closure member is displaced forwardly and abuts against the left and right knee guard brackets, thereby an impact load is transmitted to the knee guard brackets.
