  • Patent number: 6583939
Abstract: An auxiliary imaging lens is attachable to the main part of zoom lens on the object side; and is configured such that, when capturing an image for a screen having an aspect ratio of 4:3, an effective imaging area having such a size that the screen having an aspect ratio of 4:3 in a case without using the auxiliary imaging lens is just held therein can be secured, and a focal length yielding a field of view area substantially on a par with a field of view area obtained when capturing an image for a screen having an aspect ratio of 16:9 can be set.

  • Patent number: 6512542
Abstract: When a constant rate switch is pressed during the operation of a seesaw switch, an output voltage of a potentiometer in the seesaw switch is stored in a condenser and a command from the seesaw switch is invalidated. The output voltage of the potentiometer when the constant switch is operated is input to an operational amplifier, and a zoom drive motor is run at a constant rate to maintain the zoom rate which has been controlled by the seesaw switch. There may be provided a function which reduces the rate in proximity to the telephoto end or the wide end, and the constant switch may also serve as another switch means such as a return switch.

  • Patent number: 6185044
Abstract: In a still-image-capturing system, a still-image-capturing lens group having totally the same configuration (the same number of lens sheets, lens form, and lens material) as the lens group used only for a TV-image-capturing system is disposed downstream a half mirror, and a rectangular prism is disposed for providing a luminous flux with an optical path length identical to that within a color-decomposing prism when the luminous flux passes therethrough. In another aspect, a focal length conversion lens group for changing the focal length of zoom lens groups and a total reflection mirror is disposed on the optical axis of the zoom lens groups exclusively from each other. In still another aspect, an electronic still camera is attached to the still-image-capturing system.

  • Patent number: 6130715
Abstract: A motor for a focus fine tuning lens is attached to the side of a lens barrel. The motor connects to a lens holding frame of the fine tuning lens via a belt, so that the backlash can be prevented. Because the motor and a belt transmission mechanism are accommodated by a drive unit, the existing drive unit can be used without changing its size and form.

  • Patent number: 6035137
Abstract: If a seesaw switch and a quick zoom switch means are operated concurrently, the seesaw switch takes priority. If the quick zoom switch is operated by mistake while the seesaw switch is operated, the operation of the quick zoom switch is invalidated. The seesaw switch continues the operation without suspending the photography. While the seesaw switch is operated, the taking lens is moved with a set maximum zoom rate being the upper limit. When the taking lens moves in accordance with the operation of the quick zoom switch, the set maximum rate is cancelled so that the taking lens can be zoomed at a preset zoom rate. Consequently, the zooming is performed quickly in accordance with the operation of the quick zoom switch.

  • Patent number: 5777801
Abstract: A helicoid is formed at the outer periphery of the front of a body fixing lens barrel, and a helicoid is formed at the inner periphery of the back of the focusing lens barrel in such a manner that these two helicoids can be engaged with each other. A movable focusing lens group is held by the front of the focusing lens barrel so that the helicoid can be pushed to one side and the inaccurateness of the focus can be reduced. A lens hood is attached to a fixed focus lens frame fixed to a focus fixing lens barrel, which is different from the body fixing lens barrel. Thereby, even if the focus fixing lens barrel is deformed by the force generated by the attachment, the deformation does not warp the helicoid.

  • Patent number: 5343263
Abstract: A lens grip for a shoulder type camera, the lens grip having a housing which includes a fixed base member to be fixedly attached to a lens assembly of the camera and a cover member to be adjustably fixed to the base member, wherein the lens grip housing accomodates therein drive members including a lens drive motor and lens position sensor mechanisms therefor, operating members for controlling operations of the drive members, and an electric circuit board connected between the drive and operating members through wiring cables. In order to permit angular adjustments of the cover member on the base member of the housing, the cover and base members each are provided with a joint portion formed in a circular shape at least in part thereof, and are joined together through a coupling mechanism located at the center of the circular joint portions and, moreover, are arranged to permit angular adjustments of the cover member relative to the base member.

  • Patent number: 4095244
Abstract: A handy type TV camera or motion picture camera with a grip includes a focal length varying means, a diaphragm aperture varying means and a focus adjusting means. One of these means is electrically controlled by use of a servomotor controlled by a potentiometer. Another of these means is manually controlled by use of a manually operable ring mounted on the camera. The remaining of these means is either electrically or manually controlled. The potentiometer for controlling the servomotor is operated by use of a manually operable control member provided on the grip of the camera. The control member is located on the back of the grip at an upper portion so that it is easily operated with the thumb of the hand which is used to hold the grip. The control member is horizontally movable or rotatable and the grip is extended obliquely downward and forward to further facilitate the operation of the control member.
