    Abstract: A washing and dehydrating machine includes a circulating passage communicating between interior and exterior of a water tub, warm air generating unit rendering air in the passage warm, an overflow outlet located in the water tub surface, so that water flows through the overflow outlet when a water level in the water tub is increased to or above a level, a drain conduit introduced outside the machine via a drain valve, through which water in the water tub is discharged, an overflow conduit having a lower end connected to the drain valve and communicating with the overflow outlet, and air stopping unit located in the overflow conduit and including a trap cutting off air flow and a water supply unit supplying water to the trap, allowing water to pass through and stopping air flow. The overflow conduit is introduced outside the machine via the air stopping unit.

    Abstract: A drum type washing-drying machine includes an air supply opening and an air discharge opening both located in a water tub, a circulation path having both ends connected to the air supply opening and the air discharge opening respectively, and branch paths located between a part of the circulation path where the condenser is located and the air supply opening and/or extending in another part of the circulation path between the evaporator and the air discharge opening. Either air supply or discharge opening is located in an upper part of the water tub front. The circulation path includes a heat exchange section where a condenser and an evaporator are disposed so as to be located below the water tub. The branch paths extend from either air supply or air discharge opening, through a periphery of the opening of the water tub front to the heat exchange section.

    Abstract: A drum washing machine has a suspension for supporting a water tub for vibration proof. The suspension includes a cylindrical bearing support, a pair of bearings fixed in the bearing support, a shaft supported on the bearings so that the shaft is linearly reciprocated, a cylindrical friction member damping an amplitude of the water tub and disposed between the bearings so as to be immovable relative to the bearing support, and a lubricant applied between the shaft and the friction member. The friction member has both ends formed with abutment slant faces having outer diameters gradually reduced toward distal ends respectively. A pair of holding members are located in the bearing support for holding the ends of the friction member. Gaps are defined between the friction member and the holding members respectively. A plurality of lubricant reservoirs are defined in the respective gaps to reserve the lubricant.

    Abstract: A clothes dryer has a heat pump. In drying operation, that portion of an airflow path which is between a rotating container and an evaporator is opened and air in the rotating container is circulated through the airflow path. In cooling the place where the dryer is placed, a discharge airflow path running from that portion of the airflow path which is between the rotating container and the evaporator to the outside of the dryer is opened, and air introduced from an air inlet is passed through the evaporator and discharged from a discharge airflow path, and at the same time, a condenser is cooled by a cooling device.

The distance in the feed direction of the color material portions of the thermal inkribbon is set at one divided by an integral portion of the standard print width of the print paper, while the distance between the color sensor and the thermal head is set the same as the distance in the feed direction of the color materials portion of the thermal inkribbon.

    Abstract: An electrically heated pot for heating the keeping warm a liquid includes a vacuum container having a vacuum region formed between the outer surface of a cylindrical internal tank and the inner surface of an external tank. The internal tank has an opening at one end. A cylindrical reservoir tank for accomodating the liquid to be heated is removably located within the internal tank through the opening. The central portion of the reservoir tank is in close contact with the inner surface of the internal tank, while an end portion thereof opposite the opening is shaped to define with the internal tank a heater mounting room. A thermostatically controlled electric heater is mounted on the surface of the reservoir tank in the heater mounting room and is removable with the reservoir tank through the opening.

The operating liquid flows, as the rotary tub rotates, to the side opposite to that on which the unbalanced load of the rotary tub is located absorb the unbalance of the rotary tub. A plurality of spherical weights are disposed circumferentially and movably in the annular receiving chamber and, as the rotary tub rotates, move to the side opposite to that on which the unbalanced load of the rotary tub is located to absorb the unbalance of the rotary tub.

    Abstract: A dryer wherein wet clothing placed in a drying chamber is dried by hot air resulting from the heat generated by an electric heater. The dryer comprises a ventilation fan which draws off air streams from the drying chamber and introduces the same amount of air streams as those thus removed into the drying chamber during a drying cycle. An amount of air streams ventilated by the ventilation fan is set at less than 1 m.sup.3 /min per kilowatt of the heat-generating capacity of the electric heater while the electric heater is operated.
