  • Publication number: 20100266199
Abstract: A color that readily leaves an impression is adopted as the representative color of a color image. Pixels that form a color image are distributed in L*a*b* color space and are projected onto the a*b* plane. The pixels are grouped and the color at the centroid position of each group is adopted as a representative candidate color. A first score is calculated based upon the distance from the origin, which is indicative of gray, to the representative candidate color, and a second score is calculated from the number of pixels contained in the group. A final score is calculated from the first and second scores and representative candidate colors that provide the three highest final scores are decided upon as representative colors.

  • Publication number: 20090230952
Abstract: An eddy current testing device which confirms that a change in characteristics of a target object is detected regardless of the magnitude of the change and specifying the position of a portion from which the change is detected. The device uses an eddy current probe to inspect a bent portion of a metal body, and has an inspection controller and a display unit. The inspection controller calculates a phase angle of a signal detected by the eddy current probe and generates flaw identification image data that indicates an area (or an area of the signal detected and determined to correspond to a flaw signal, based on the phase angle of the detected signal) of a flaw signal in coordinates in which the position of the portion of the target object is plotted along a coordinate axis. The display unit displays the flaw identification image data.

  • Patent number: 7428894
Abstract: A fuel pump suctions fuel from a fuel tank and discharges the fuel. A discharge metering valve regulates an amount of the discharged fuel out of the suctioned fuel. The discharged amount is regulated by operating closing timing for closing the discharge metering valve through energization of the discharge metering valve. The fuel discharged by the fuel pump is pressure-fed to a common rail. A rotation angle interval between energizing operations of the discharge metering valve is lengthened when rotation speed of an output shaft of a diesel engine is high. Thus, a residual magnetic flux in the discharge metering valve is reduced. As a result, control of the fuel pressure can be suitably performed.

  • Patent number: 6622701
Abstract: An accumulator fuel injection apparatus is provided which may be employed in a common rail system for diesel engines. The fuel injection apparatus includes a pressure relief valve designed to relieve an unwanted rise in pressure of the fuel within an accumulator. The pressure relief valve includes a pressure pulsation minimizing mechanism designed to minimize pressure pulsations which are generated in a drain line and propagated to a valve mechanism of the pressure relief valve, causing a valve-opening pressure of the pressure relief valve to change. The pressure pulsation minimizing mechanism may be implemented by an orifice or a check valve.

  • Publication number: 20030112233
Abstract: A text 220, which needs to be displayed constantly, is displayed on the floor/wall 206C in the background image 202. This text (number) 220, as shown in FIG. 5, is structured of an aggregate of a plurality of plate polygons 222. Each of these plate polygons can be subject to gradation in accordance with the camera viewpoint, and, as a result, is displayed in a state of being three-dimensional with concavities and convexities against the floor/wall 206C as illustrated in FIG. 4. These plate polygons 222 cannot become the counterstroke face of the ball 212, and the floor/wall 206C is judged as a plane.

  • Publication number: 20020171545
Abstract: In an article care system intended to perform the search and care of articles efficiently, an article care controller operates in accordance with the command of the controller-holding operator to send a radio signal Q including a transmit request to an article care seal stuck on an article to be searched. The article care seal sends a radio signal R including the care ID code of the self if the radio signal Q from the article care controller is addressed to the self. The article care controller receives the radio signal R from the article care seal, and displays digitally the distance to the article on its distance display section and displays graphically the direction to the article on its direction display section based on the result of reception.

  • Patent number: 6424353
Abstract: It is provided a computer game apparatus for displaying an image of virtual space in which first and second characters locate, the image being viewed from a first point in the virtual space to a direction from the first point to a second point in the virtual space, comprising: a first processor for obtaining positions of the first and second characters in the virtual space; and a second processor for setting the first or second point in accordance with a distance between the positions of the first and second characters which are aligned in the direction in the virtual space. According to the present invention, when the characters approach each other in virtual space in a game, the first point in virtual space is raised, so that the image is displayed as virtual space is looked down. Therefore, since the first character manipulated by the player and the enemy character do not overlap in the image, the player can clearly observe the movements of the enemy character.

  • Patent number: 4424737
Abstract: A stroke cushioning apparatus for a hydraulic cylinder provided at rod side stroke end and/or head side stroke end. The rod side stroke end cushioning apparatus comprises a sleeve mounted on a piston rod and a cushion ring mounted on the inner face of a housing defining a passage which accommodates the sleeve when a piston assembly is moved to its rod side stroke end. The cushion ring is allowed to move slightly in an axial direction. When the piston assembly is moved towards its rod side stroke end and the sleeve enters into the passage, flow of fluid is restricted between the cushion ring and the sleeve thus effecting a cushioning action to the piston assembly. The head side stroke end cushioning apparatus comprises a plunger mounted to the piston rod and wall of a passage formed at the head end of the cylinder. The plunger is mounted to the piston rod by means of a plurality of balls with allowing slight movements of the plunger both axially and radially.
