The memory medium is moved in a manner bridging between an eject position where insertion/withdrawal of the memory medium is permitted and a loading position. A first biasing member moves and biases the holder in an eject direction opposite to a memory medium insertion direction is caused to store biasing force in the eject direction. A second biasing member biases the holder in the memory medium insertion direction and is caused to be operative to carry out switching between movement in the memory medium insertion direction of the holder and movement in the eject direction.

Abstract: A transfer apparatus for transferring a storage medium includes a holder for holding a storage medium, the holder being adapted to move between a first position for loading and unloading the storage medium and a second position for containing the storage medium on the chassis of the apparatus, a connector arranged in the holder and adapted to be connected to the terminal section of the storage medium when the holder is at the first position and a restriction member for restricting the movement of the holder from the first position to the second position until the connector is connected to the terminal section. With this arrangement, the terminal section of the storage medium and the connector can be reliably connected with each other.

Abstract: An image transferring apparatus is provided which holds a print sheet in a nip between an image carrier and a transfer roller and supplies the current to the transfer roller to transfer a toner image formed on the image carrier to the print medium. The apparatus has conductive brushes disposed in contact with ends. of the transfer roller to form a bypass circuit. The bypass circuit is connected to ground through a resistor and introduce the part of the current supplied to the transfer roller in an image transferring operation, thereby avoiding formation of any print defects such as discharge-caused marks or toner stops.

The developing device includes a housing for defining a toner chamber, a developing roller rotatably mounted in the housing, an agitator rotatably mounted in the housing and provided in the toner chamber, and a partition member mounted to the housing to define a carrier chamber between the partition member and the developing roller. The toner circulating mechanism directly returns the residual toner scraped from the photosensitive drum to the toner chamber in the developing device. The toner chamber may contain a foreign matter removing device. The partition member may have various shapes.
