  • Patent number: 3957211
Abstract: A refuse disintegration device including a casing having a chamber therein, inlet means communicated with the chamber for introducing refuse which should be disintegrated and at least one rotatable shaft extending through the chamber, which shaft is connected to a drive means which rotates the shaft. A set of spaced apart rotary knives are fixably mounted on the shaft in the chamber, whereas a set of stationary knives are arranged in the chamber so that they extend traversally to the axis of the shaft. Each of the stationary knives is fixably mounted to the casing at both ends thereof.
