  • Patent number: 6443678
Abstract: A synthetic resin grommet is provided which has a substantially cylindrical body having a flange portion and a head portion. The flange portion has an inverted dish-like shape and includes an elastically deformable vane-like shaped rim portion. Stopping claws are arranged on an outer circumference of the cylindrical body such that tips of the claws face the flange portion, and an elastically compressible annular rib is formed on top of the head portion of the cylindrical body. An upper portion of the head portion has a tapered face, and the annular rib is formed above the tapered face. With this structure, an inexpensive synthetic resin grommet is provided which exhibits sealing facility when it is fitted to a body of a car or a home electric appliance and when a part is attached thereto through the grommet, and which accurately and securely prevents the entrance of water into the body without requiring intricate procedures such a fitting of a sealing annulus.

  • Publication number: 20010027588
Abstract: The invention has been contrived to solve the above-mentioned problems of the prior grommets and to provide a water-proof grommet, in which insertion load can be reduced further than those of the prior grommets and an entire grommet is not moved axially irrespective of plate thickness of a member being mounted.

  • Publication number: 20010020133
Abstract: An apparatus for automatically measuring a blood pressure of a female subject, including a blood-pressure measuring device which includes an inflatable cuff adapted to apply a pressing force to a body portion of the subject and automatically measures, by changing the pressing force of the cuff, a blood pressure of the female subject at a predetermined measurement period, a labor-pain-signal detecting device which detects, from the female subject, a labor-pain signal which changes in relation to a labor pain of the subject, and a blood-pressure-measurement starting device for operating the blood-pressure measuring device to start a blood-pressure measurement, when the predetermined measurement period has elapsed and when the labor-pain signal detected by the labor-pain-signal detecting device falls within a reference range.

  • Patent number: 4814928
Abstract: An information recording disk comprising a disk-like substrate and magnetic layers formed on both surfaces of the substrate is provided with a mark punched through the disk. The mark is provided by, for example, a hole positioned apart from a reference line passing through both the center of an index hole for specifying the circumferential position of the disk and the center of the disk. If the disk is rotated by 180.degree. about the reference line, the position of the mark is reversed with respect to the reference line, making it possible to distinguish the front and back surfaces of the disk. The magnetic layers formed on both surfaces of the substrate by means of, for example, sputtering, differ from each other in magnetic properties. To determine the magnetic layer used for the information recording-reproduction or to determine the optimum conditions for the recording-reproduction, it is necessary to distinguish the front and back surfaces of the disk.

  • Patent number: 4777155
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a sintered aluminum nitride base composite material which consists essentially of 5-50 wt % of SiC whiskers, 0.5-10 wt % of sintering assistant(s) selected from SiO.sub.2, Y.sub.2 O.sub.3, CaO, Al.sub.2 O.sub.3, Mo, W, Mo.sub.2 C, WC and oxides of elements of the lanthanide series and the balance of AlN. By virtue of dispersion of SiC whiskers in AlN base ceramic matrix the sintered material is very enhanced in strength, toughness and hardness and exhibits increased heat conductivity. The sintered material provides excellent cutting tools since Rockwell superficial hardness, 45N scale, can be made higher than 85.

  • Patent number: 4398263
Abstract: A calculator having an integration function has at least a key input section which in turn has registering keys for inputting data for setting a function to be integrated and an interval of integration, and executing keys for performing the definite integrating function. The function to be integrated is stored in a predetermined register of a RAM by key operation on the key input section. A dividing number for dividing the interval of integration input by the key operation is stored in another register. The interval of integration is divided by the dividing number stored in the latter register. The integrating function is performed sequentially based on the function to be integrated every interval of integration divided by a dividing means and the data input by the key operation for setting the interval of integration.

  • Patent number: 4386412
Abstract: A calculator in which when numerical information and function information are sequentially input using ten keys and function keys of a key input section for obtaining a calculation result according to a calculation formula, the input information is stored in a memory. The operation is then performed and, simultaneously, a character formula universally representing the calculation formula with the input numerals replaced with characters is prepared. This character formula is displayed by the display section so that the input condition may be easily confirmed and input errors may be prevented with certainty.
