  • Patent number: 11167368
Abstract: According to some embodiments, there is provided a welding device for welding outer peripheral edges of two irregular shaped plates which are overlapped, including: a rotary table to which the two irregular shaped plates in an overlapped state are fixed; a torch unit, including a welding torch positioned to face the outer peripheral edges of the two irregular shaped plates fixed to the rotary table; a first torch actuator, capable of changing an orientation and a distance of the welding torch relative to the outer peripheral edges; and a first controller, configured to control the first torch actuator, so that the orientation of the welding torch relative to a tangential line of the outer peripheral edges and the distance of the welding torch from the outer peripheral edges are kept constant along a circumferential direction of the outer peripheral edges, during rotation of the two irregular shaped plates.

  • Patent number: 6328631
Abstract: Ice grains of uniform grain size are produced through the change of state of supercooled water and the ice grains are mixed into cold water for obtaining an ice slurry of proper concentration. The ice slurry is injected from an injection means to the surface of a workpiece. As the ice grains are fine and uniform and they are injected with water in the state of ice slurry of stable concentration, a surface processing of a soft workpiece susceptible to damage can be performed without causing damage, and the cleaning of the processed surface is performed concurrently with the surface processing, eliminating the necessity of after cleaning. The apparatus is compact and the initial cost is low. The energy needed for preparing the ice slurry is small.

  • Patent number: 4704274
Abstract: A method for producing highly pure LPF-HA (Leucocytosis-promoting Factor agglutinin) from culture media of Bordetella pertussis in a high yield by an affinity chromatography using a denatured ceruloplasmin as a ligand. The LPF-HA obtained by this invention is highly pure and does not contain almost endotoxin of B. pertussis and is useful for the preparation of various reagents utilizing the physiological activities, a medicine for treating diabetes, and a pertussis vaccine.

  • Patent number: 4687738
Abstract: A method for production of HA fraction containing protective antigens of Bordetella pertussis (i.e. a fraction containing F-HA and LPF-HA) in an industrial scale, for instance, with a fermentater, which comprises inoculating a strain of B. pertussis in a liquid culture containing a cyclodextrin or its derivative, culturing it by a spinner culture under controlling the culture temperature and the amount of dissolved oxygen and under defoaming condition, optionally under controlling the pH range, and harvesting the produced HA fraction from the culture broth at a stage of from logarithmic growth phase to static grow phase, and a method for production of a pertussis vaccine from the HA fraction thus obtained by formalinizing the HA fraction in the presence of an amino acid.
