  • Patent number: 4750949
Abstract: A grain-oriented electrical steel sheet having a low watt loss after stress relief annealing is proposed. The steel sheet, which is final texture annealed, and to which tension is imparted, has a number of recessed parts on the surface thereof forming indentations into the steel sheet body having a depth in the range of from 0.01 to 0.1 mm. The recessed parts are filled with a composition having a coefficient of thermal expansion smaller than that of the steel sheet body. From the recessed parts and the composition the magnetic domains are subdivided.

  • Patent number: 4742706
Abstract: A device for imparting strain to a steel sheet by which deformed regions spaced at a desired distance and having a minute linear shape are continuously formed, comprising: a strain imparting roll having projected portions on the surface thereof; a press roll provided opposite to the strain imparting roll; a row of a plurality of groups of back-up rolls for pressing against the press rolls, provided with spaces of a desired distance therebetween in a longitudinal direction of the press roll; and a fluid pressure cylinder connected to each group of the back-up rolls via a bearing, and a fluid supply source connected to the fluid pressure cylinder.

  • Patent number: 4693680
Abstract: A burner and method enabling operation of a post-mixed burner having radially spaced fuel and main oxidant injection points with a stable flame without the need of a separate oxidant annulus proximate the fuel stream characterized by defined relationships enabling passing stabilizing oxidant from the main oxidant stream into the fuel stream upstream of their injection into the combustion zone wherein the stabilizing oxidant velocity decreases from that of the main oxidant and the stabilizing oxidant passage flow area increases at the fuel stream communication with respect to an upstream restriction.

  • Patent number: 4615750
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for producing a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet by means of the so-called double-rolling process, using Mn, S, and Cu as the precipitation dispersion phases for suppressing the growth of primary-recrystallized crystal grains.A new concept according to the present invention is to suppress the growth of primary crystals by means of an element segregated in the grain boundaries of primary-recrystallized crystals. The present invention is characterized in that the silicon steel starting material contains T.[N] in an amount which satisfies the following formulas (1) and (2):T.[N].gtoreq.{[sol Al%].times.(14/27)+0.0020}(%) (1)T.[N].ltoreq.{[sol Al%].times.(14/27)+0.0060}(%) (2).

  • Patent number: 4579606
Abstract: In order to obtain a film having a low electric resistance and a good selective absorption property of solar radiation, good rust proofing and good weldability, a stainless steel is dipped in a chemical conversion bath, in which sodium bichromate or potassium bichromate is mixed with sulfuric acid at a predetermined proportion to one another, in accordance with the method of the present invention. The product film of the present invention comprises metal oxides or metal hydroxides with metal (Fe+Cr) finely dispersed therein.

  • Patent number: 4525138
Abstract: An apparatus for reliably monitoring a flame of a post-mixed burner without significantly altering the flame characteristics by forming a small but intense signal within the burner which is unaffected by furnace conditions and which corresponds to the actual flame.
