  • Patent number: 6748990
Abstract: A plurality of electric wires of a wire harness have a filler applied to predetermined waterproofing portions thereof. A sheet is wound on a peripheral surface of a bundle of electric wires to which the filler has been applied, and the sheet-wound waterproofing portion is repeatedly pressed from opposite sides. By such pressing, a relative displacement of the electric wires and the filler can be accelerated and the filler can be spread and filled securely in the waterproofing portion.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 9, 2002
Date of Patent: June 15, 2004
    Assignee: Sumitomo Wiring Systems, Ltd.
    Inventors: Ryoukichi Yashima, Hisashi Kurachi

  • Patent number: 6371585
Abstract: A ring-mark printing device for identifying electrical cables includes a printer box having a feed axis and configured to pass an electrical cable along the feed axis. The printer box includes an ink shield including a concentrically arranged double structured tube. The double structured tube includes an outer tubular body, and an inner tubular body, the inner tubular body being held such that it can freely slide within the outer tubular body. The outer tubular body includes outer ink-orifices at positions facing marking drums. The inner tubular body also includes inner ink-orifices. By sliding the inner tubular body, an inner ink-orifice can be joined with an outer ink-orifice, so that the electrical cable is ready to be printed with ink ejected from the marking drum, or the inner orifice can be moved away from the outer ink-orifice, so that the electrical cable is impeded from printing.

  • Patent number: 5760413
Abstract: A plurality of radiation receiving elements disposed outside a pipe at equal distances from the axis thereof so that radiation from a radiation source is received through the pipe wall. As the thickness of the pipe wall varies, the received radiation varies accordingly. If the received radiation fluctuates in excess of the allowable range, the thickness of the pipe wall is judged to be outside the allowable range. When the fluctuation of the received radiation is within the allowable range, the thickness of the pipe wall is within the preset tolerances.
