  • Patent number: 8291333
Abstract: An air conditioning controller includes a storage component, a data receiving component configured to receive set numeric data, a display component configured to display data, and a control component. The storage component has stored operation explanation data, relationship explanation data, and setting layout display data stored therein. The stored operation explanation data defines operations of functions executed in the air conditioner. The relationship explanation data defines relationships between explanations of operations of functions and values that are set. The setting display layout data includes setting display region data and explanation display region data. The control component is configured to cause the set numeric data that the data receiving component has received to be displayed in a setting display region while causing the operation explanation data and the relationship explanation data to be displayed in an explanation display region in accordance with the setting display layout data.

  • Patent number: 8266920
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to reduce electrical noise in accordance with the necessity of a countermeasure taken against electrical noise without changing a structure of an expansion valve. In a case where a judgment result as to whether or not the countermeasure against electrical noise is taken is affirmative, a drive timing (interval) of an expansion valve (107) is increased. Further, a driving amount is reduced. Accordingly, a flow of a refrigerant is made slow, whereby it is possible to reduce generated electrical noise while performing instructed temperature control.

  • Publication number: 20120216555
Abstract: An air conditioner selectively executes a first control which carries out an air conditioning by driving a compressor by a frequency which is controlled based on a set value and a space temperature, and a second control which carries out an air conditioning with a predetermined air conditioning capacity. The operating apparatus switches an activeness and an inactiveness of a signal based on a scale relationship between the space temperature and the set temperature. An instructing part instructs the air conditioner to start the second control with an input to a inputting part as a trigger, and instructs the air conditioner to finish the second control with a switch of the signal as a trigger. An estimated value of the set temperature is calculated based on the space temperature with the switch of the signal as a trigger, and is transmitted as the set value to the air conditioner.

  • Patent number: 8063745
Abstract: A serial number detection portion simultaneously transmits a detection command for requesting a first digit of a serial number to plurality of indoor units, and the serial number detection portion simultaneously transmits a detection command for requesting a second digit immediately preceding the first digit to the indoor units when a response to the detection command is absent. That is, the address setting is performed again from the immediately preceding digit without returning to an initial digit of the serial number, so that the time necessary for the address setting can be shortened. When the address setting is performed again from the immediately preceding digit, the address setting can be performed more securely by changing a method of recognizing the detection command in the indoor units.

  • Patent number: 8024939
Abstract: An outdoor unit includes an outdoor unit control circuit, an inverter substrate and a compressor. Periodic communication showing the operating condition of the inverter substrate is set from the inverter substrate to the outdoor unit control circuit. Thus, when the communication is performed normally, the drive of the compressor is changed to a power saving process according to the necessity of the power consumption and the operating condition of the inverter substrate. When the communication is defective, the power-on reset is done to the inverter substrate.

  • Patent number: 7990260
Abstract: A normality determination unit determines that a communication function for an outdoor unit of its own is normal when receiving a signal from one of indoor units, and writes a normality flag into an EEPROM. Further, the normality determination unit determines that it is not asserted that the communication function for the outdoor unit of its own is normal when not receiving a signal from any of the indoor units for a predetermined time period, and deletes the normality flag in the EEPROM.

  • Publication number: 20100070087
Abstract: A remote controller includes a display part and an operation part. Since the display part switches plural kinds of specifications to display behavior and setting conditions of an air conditioner, plural kinds of specifications are prepared in the display part. From a central controller a communication part receives a command for air conditioning behavior of an air conditioner and switching of the display specification. The command includes packet for storing information which indicates switching of the display specification. As a result, the central controller can centrally and individually control both the air conditioning behavior of the air conditioner and switching of the display specification in the display part without operating the display part for each of the air conditioners from a distance.
