  • Patent number: 4644798
Abstract: A capacitive type converter device, such as used for measuring pressure, comprising first and second rectifying circuits, each including an operational amplifier with a non-inverting input terminal connected to a reference point, to which a variable condenser is connected, the variable condenser having a capacitance which varies in response to a force being measured, such as pressure, and to which a reference condenser is connected, the reference condenser having a capacitance which is fixed independent of the force being measured.

  • Patent number: 4437350
Abstract: A vortex flow metering apparatus comprising a sensor unit having first and second piezoelectric sensors selectively arranged in the concavity or a vortex generator having a measured fluid produce a Karman's vortex according to its velocity, a first conversion amplifier to which a signal from the first piezoelectric sensor is applied, a second conversion amplifier to which a signal from the second piezoelectric sensor is applied, an operator circuit to which outputs from the first and second conversion amplifiers are applied and which through addition or subtraction and other operations, removes noise components due to disturbance vibrations. The first and second piezoelectric sensors are selectively arranged at two points whereat stress distribution of the noise component due to disturbance vibration and stress distribution of a signal component due to vortex dynamic lift are different from each other.

  • Patent number: 4345150
Abstract: Method and apparatus for generating signals corresponding to the moisture content of paper by irradiating a sheet of paper with a near infrared ray, by detecting a beam having a coaction with the paper and by accomplishing the desired arithmetic operations with the use of the detected signals. According to the method and apparatus, at least two optical systems having different degrees of coactions with the paper are provided to respectively detect photometric optical signals and reference optical signals so that the signals corresponding to the moisture content may be generated with the use of the photometric and reference optical signals.

  • Patent number: 4184796
Abstract: An improvement of a globoid worm gear generating method based on the "basic member gear theory" and the "secondary action theory" both proposed by the same inventors is disclosed. In one form, the surface of a globoid worm generating tool is defined as the tooth surface of an intermediate gear by a conical surface whose semivertical angle .UPSILON., 0.degree..ltoreq..UPSILON..ltoreq.90.degree.. In another form, the surfaces of a globoid worm gear generating tool are defined by two conical surfaces whose semivertical angles are equal and satisfy the above condition and whose major axes as well as bottoms are coincident with each other so that both tooth surfaces of a worm may be simultaneously generated.
