  • Patent number: 5613168
Abstract: A position adjusting apparatus for adjusting a position of a lens frame of a camera, which holds a focusing lens group, in an optical axis direction. This apparatus includes a lens frame supporting member which is rotatable relative to the lens frame, a guide which moves the lens frame in the optical axis direction during the rotational adjustment of the lens frame, and a friction mechanism which normally prevents the lens frame and the lens frame supporting member from rotating relative to each other due to a frictional force, and which permits the lens frame and the lens frame supporting member to rotate relative to each other against the frictional force when a predetermined adjusting force is applied thereto.

  • Patent number: 5606380
Abstract: A shock absorbing apparatus for a mirror in a single lens reflex camera includes a mirror drive mechanism which moves the mirror, normally located within a photographing optical path, out of the photographing optical path immediately before the photographing operation. A damper damps shock caused when the mirror is moved by the mirror drive mechanism. The damper includes a cylinder, a piston which is moved in the cylinder and which is connected to the mirror, a valve mechanism which opens and closes a flow passage in accordance with the movement of the piston, and an adjusting device which adjusts a surface area of the flow passage.

  • Patent number: 5485236
Abstract: A camera is provided with an object distance measuring sensor for detecting an object distance, an object brightness measuring sensor for detecting an object brightness, a photographing lens, a position of which along an optical axis is variably set, and a diaphragm mechanism having an aperture value that is variably set. A single movable control member, that is moved in one direction upon a shutter release operation, a first cam for setting the position of the photographing lens in accordance with the movement of the control member, and a second cam for setting the aperture value of the diaphragm mechanism in accordance with the movement of the control member, are also provided.
