  • Patent number: 6866718
Abstract: A sealant applicator 1 is provided for applying a waterproofing treatment to a wire assembly, a plurality of wires are aligned in a line according to their diameters in a holder 4 provided on a wire laying board 3. Positioning members 21 of a main unit 2 are fitted to the holder 4. A pair of nozzles 22 are opposed to each other at the opposite sides of the aligned wires, and is caused to discharge a specified amount of the sealant by a feeding mechanism 26 while being moved in a wire alignment direction by a moving mechanism 27 and being brought closer to the wires by a relatively moving mechanism 25. This enables a variation of clearances between the wires and the nozzles to be reduced and the sealant to be uniformly applied.

  • Publication number: 20030236022
Abstract: An apparatus for indicating a terminal insertion position includes an indicating bar. The indicating bar can be moved in the X and Y-directions with respect to a housing holder by a driving mechanism. In order to indicate a target cavity in a connector housing contained in the housing holder, the indicating bar is moved to a position corresponding to the target cavity along a coordinate on the X-axis and moved to a position approaching the Y-axis. If another terminal has been already inserted into a cavity near the target cavity, the indicating bar is moved to a coordinate on the Y-axis where the terminal does not interfere with the indicating bar. An indicator lights up to specify a coordinate of the cavity on the Y-axis.

  • Publication number: 20020174537
Abstract: A terminal insertion guide apparatus adapted to be used with a connector having a plurality of cavities, such that an electrical cable having a terminal can be connected to a selected cavity of the plurality of cavities, whereby the corresponding cavity is indicated to an operator. The apparatus includes a connector holder for holding the connector, an indicating plate for indicating when the selective cavity is positioned at a predetermined terminal insertion position, a detecting mechanism, a driving mechanism that moves the connector holder, and a controller that controls the driving mechanism. The connector holder is movable between the open position and the guide area, and is adapted to position each selected cavity of the connector at a position that is indicated by the indicating plate according to a predetermined sequence and in accordance with signals from the detecting mechanism.
