Abstract: A network service system capable of providing economical services comprises a plurality of host computers connected to a network for providing services through the network and an information processing terminal connected to the network. The information processing terminal identifies a service identifier, provided in a storage medium for network service, for identifying a type of a network service when the storage medium is attached, connects the line to the host computer which corresponds to the identified service identifier and receives the network service from the line-connected host computer.

Abstract: After an opponent is determined by a search made in a communication character service, there may be effected transition to an action game service under control of the host computer, or a fight may be performed between terminal apparatuses that directly communicate with each other with temporary disconnection to the host computer. By preparing morphing intermediate moving images, the transition from communication character service to the action game service can be effected without causing an incongruous feeling.

Abstract: This invention pertains to a data processing system for pattern recognition by sorting the scores of the candidate patterns by their feature vectors per an associative matching method. It aims first at determining feature vectors at a high speed even if a recognition device obtains dictionary data in dot units, second at determining scores by an association conformance recognition device, and third at sorting inputted data from the highest score at a high speed.
