  • Patent number: 5429484
Abstract: A metallic diaphragm is provided within a pump chamber. This diaphragm is oscillated by a stem to Feed liquid medicine. The stem is provided with a plate and a movement of this plate, i.e., a stroke of the stem is limited by a pair of stoppers. Relative position of the paired stoppers at which they limit the stroke is adjusted by providing the paired stoppers with threads which are handed reversely to each other so that the paired stoppers are moved by amounts equal to each other during a change of the relative position. The stem carries thereon a piston which is, in turn, vertically movable within a cylinder chamber into which compressed air is introduced to oscillate the stem. A plurality of such pumps are successively connected one to another, stop valves are connected upstream as well as downstream off the respective pumps and a suck-back pump of the same construction as the liquid feed pump is connected immediately before a liquid filling device.

  • Patent number: 5302033
Abstract: A burning damage protecting apparatus and method for a printing head in a printer comprising a printing head actuating circuit having a driver and a coil, a headpin-driver actuating electric power source which is connected to the printing head actuating circuit, a voltage monitor connected to the headpin-driver actuating electric power source, and a micro processing unit connected to each of the printing head actuating circuit, the headpin-driver actuating electric power source, and the voltage monitor; in which, the micro processing unit turns on the headpin-driver actuating electric power source for a first predetermined short time and subsequently turns it off immediately after the printer is turned on, and measures a voltage based on a signal fed from the voltage monitor at the timing the headpin-driver actuating electric power source is turned off, and then measures a voltage in the same manner as above measurement after a second predetermined short time has elapsed, still further judges whether the driv

  • Patent number: 5178366
Abstract: A fluid flow control valve is provided with a seal comprising a thin metallic film backed by a resiliently deformable body. The seal is mounted on a closure part which may be either the valve stem or the valve seat. The thin film and deformable body are deformed so as to conform to the surface the metallic film seals against as the valve is closed. As the valve is opened, the deformable body returns to its initial state thus returning the thin film to its initial state.

  • Patent number: 5161571
Abstract: A check valve comprises a valve body having inlet and outlet passages and a cavity in which a diaphragm operates. The inlet passage connects with the cavity through an upstream wall partly defining the cavity and the outlet passage connects with the cavity through a downstream wall partly defining the cavity. The diaphragm has an annular sheet metal part which is secured to one of the walls and carries a movable seal. The movable seal cooperates with a sealing element to provide a circular fluid seal. In a first embodiment, the inlet passage connects with the cavity through openings located inside the periphery of the circular fluid seal. In a second embodiment the inlet passage connects with the cavity through openings located outside the periphery of the circular fluid seal. The movable seal may be a sealing surface in which case the sealing element is a seal ring, or the movable seal may comprise a seal ring in which case the sealing element is a sealing surface.

  • Patent number: 4926347
Abstract: A printer capable of mounting various emulation integrated circuit (IC) cards storing control programs for matching the printer with various host computers and identifying the name of an IC card mounted therein. When it is determined by a central processing unit (CPU) in the printer that an IC card is attached to an IC card terminal and that the printer is being operated in a maintenance mode, data stored at a predetermined address in the card is printed and the type of card can be identified on the basis of the printed output.

  • Patent number: 4848627
Abstract: A storage box for vehicles having a box main body for the storage, a lid body supported by the box main body in such a manner that it can be opened and closed, and an inner lid disposed between the box main body and the lid body. With this arrangement of the storage box, it is possible to open and close the inner lid independently from the lid body. It is also possible to bring the lid body and the inner lid into engagement with each other in such a manner that they are movable relative to each other, so that the lid body and the inner lid can be opened and closed integrally. Thus, an inner lid is provided while eliminating any risk of adversely affecting the fitting of the lid body. The inner lid is also provided with at least one through-hole for receiving a container. A support member is rotatably mounted to the inner lid for supporting the bottom of the container.

  • Patent number: 4507002
Abstract: A printing timing correction device in a shuttle type dot line printer wherein a shuttle is reciprocated in directions perpendicularly intersecting a direction of feeding printing paper, printing needles regularly arranged on the shuttle are projected to recording paper to thereby conduct desirable printing operations and the shuttle performs non-constant velocity motion for which the rotation of a driving motor is transmitted by a crank mechanism. The printing timings are varied against the printing needles performing non-constant velocity motion in accordance with the speed of the printing needles, whereby the printings are performed at equal interval positions on the printing paper. This correction is performed by varying the delay time periods of signals fed to the printing needle driving device.
