  • Publication number: 20150341614
Abstract: A stereoscopic video encoding device inputs therein: a multi-view video constituted by a reference viewpoint video, a left viewpoint video, and a right viewpoint video; and a reference viewpoint depth map, a left viewpoint depth map, and a right viewpoint depth map, each of which is a map of a depth value associated with the multi-view video. In the stereoscopic video encoding device, based on a synthesis technique indicated by a depth type, a video synthesis unit synthesizes a plurality of videos, and a depth map synthesis unit synthesizes a plurality of depth maps. A video encoding unit, a depth map encoding unit, and a parameter encoding unit encode, by respective units, respective parameters containing a synthesized video, a synthesized depth map, and a depth type, respectively. A multiplexing unit multiplexes the encoded parameters into an encoded bit string and transmits the multiplexed encoded bit string.

  • Patent number: 9083283
Abstract: A digital amplifier includes a switch, a driving unit, an input signal detector, a control unit and a delay unit. The switch amplifies a signal input to the digital amplifier. The driving unit turns the switch on and off. The input signal detector detects whether an input signal is input to the digital amplifier. The control unit controls the switch to start switching when a signal is input to the digital amplifier and detected. The control unit controls the switch to stop the switching operation by stopping the driving of the driving unit, when the signal is not input to the digital amplifier and not detected. The delay unit delays an input signal to the digital amplifier by a predetermined time until the switching is started, so as to be transmitted to the switch. The switch amplifies the input signal sent to the digital amplifier via the delay unit.

  • Patent number: 8975956
Abstract: A digital amplifier comprises: a switching unit that amplifies a signal input to the digital amplifier by performing a switching operation; a driving unit that turns the switching unit on and off; an input signal detection unit that detects an input signal to the digital amplifier; and a first control unit that performs control such that the switching unit starts a switching operation by starting driving of the driving unit, when the digital amplifier is changed to a signal input state and the input signal detection unit detects an input signal, and performs control such that the switching unit stops the switching operation by stopping the driving of the driving unit, when the digital amplifier is changed to a no signal input state and the input signal detection unit does not detect an input signal. This configuration enables to reduce power consumption when no signal is input.

  • Publication number: 20140376635
Abstract: A stereoscopic video coding device inputs therein a reference viewpoint video and a left viewpoint video, as well as a reference viewpoint depth map and a left viewpoint depth map which are maps showing information on depth values of the respective viewpoint videos. A depth map synthesis unit of the stereoscopic video coding device creates a left synthesized depth map at an intermediate viewpoint from the two depth maps. A projected video prediction unit of the stereoscopic video coding device extracts, from the left viewpoint video, a pixel in a pixel area to constitute an occlusion hole when the reference viewpoint video is projected to another viewpoint and creates a left residual video. The stereoscopic video coding device encodes and transmits each of the reference viewpoint video, the left synthesized depth map, and the left residual video.
