  • Patent number: 8045731
Abstract: LPF and HPF extract bass and treble ranges, respectively, from an input sound signal, and bass and treble boost circuits perform dynamic range expansion/contraction on the extracted bass- and treble-range sound signals in accordance with input levels of the sound signals. The input sound signal and the sound signals output from the boost circuits are added together. There may also be provided coefficient calculation sections for calculating filter coefficients on the basis of the levels of the sound signals extracted by the LPF and HPF. In this case, the bass and treble boost sections perform, in accordance with the filter coefficients calculated by the corresponding coefficient calculation sections, filter processes for increasing/decreasing the levels of the bass and treble ranges, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20110134810
Abstract: For providing a module for use of a mobile communication terminal, being small in sizes and high in reliability, and enabling with plural numbers of bands, and also a mobile communication terminal with using the same therein, canceling is conducted on transmission signal and/or noises of reception band on reception side with using a feed forward technology, for maintaining a degree of suppression of the transmission signal and/or the noises of reception band on the reception side. In this case, for achieving the cancellation of wide band signals from the transmission signal to the reception band, a delay adjusting function is used, in addition to gain and phase adjusting functions. Also, for conducting stable canceling of jamming signals, controls are conducted on the gain, the phase and the delay of a loop with using a reception SN and/or a CQI signal, etc. Further, for achieving low power consumption, a feed forward loop can be made ON/OFF depending on a level of the transmission signal.

  • Patent number: 7897864
Abstract: Signals in two different bands (band components) are extracted from an input signal by an HPF and a BPF, and frequency-shift processing is performed by an MPY. Further, in order to adjust levels of an interface between the band components of shifted frequency to a high-frequency band side and the input signal, band components with which the input signal is adjacent to the high-frequency band extension components are extracted by an HPF. Then, a gain is controlled on the basis of the output values from the HPF and the HPF so as to reduce a difference between the components of shifted frequencies and the level of the input signal by the level correction coefficient calculating unit and the MPY. Then, the shifted components are added to the high-frequency band of the input signal by an ADDER.

  • Patent number: 7782406
Abstract: In a digital broadcasting receiving apparatus, channel selection that switches a physical channel requires a longer period of time than analog. To solve the above problem, for example, there are provided two systems each including a digital tuner and a decoder, wherein channel selection and decoding are carried out by a second tuner and decoder respectively, when the user carries out the channel selection operation. During this time, the first system continues decoding. At the moment when the user carries out the channel selection operation, the luminance is decreased to some extent to allow the user to intuitively know that the channel selection operation is started, and then the luminance is further decreased gradually. When the luminance reaches zero, the decoding is started in the second system, and then the system to display is switched.

  • Patent number: 7777818
Abstract: In a receiving apparatus and a method for setting a receiving antenna thereof, for dissolving a problem of necessity of a large amount of time for channel search, since it needs a time for setting up the receiving antenna at each physical channel, in the channel search operation, including searching of receivable channels and also memorization of an optimal setup for each of the receiving channels, receiving conditions are obtained for all of the physical channels in each of the setups of receiving antenna, and this obtaining of the receiving condition is conducted on all of the setups of the receiving antenna. In that instance, a number of times of controlling the setup of receiving antenna is determined to be a number of combinations of the setups of receiving antenna, and thereby shortening the time necessary for the setup of the receiving antenna and the time necessary for channel preset.

  • Patent number: 7644428
Abstract: The present invention provides an easy-to-search program guide having efficient display contents of program information when receiving digital broadcasting from plural transmission media. A program information extracting unit extracts program information for channels receivable from a first and a second transmission media, and stores the extracted program information of individual channels in a storing unit. A program information integrating unit, when integrating program information of the first transmission media and program information of the second transmission media, compares program information stored in the storing unit, and integrates duplicate program information of a same channel, if any, into one piece of program information. A display contents creating unit creates a program guide based on the integrated program information, and displays it in a display unit.

  • Patent number: 7590241
Abstract: When a channel which is not scrambled is selected, an error occurs in a digital stream processed in a CA processing module, which causes noises to occur in video and audio signals to be viewed. If a FAT channel to be received is a channel that is not CA-scrambled, a digital stream is directly supplied from a FAT demodulator to a demultiplexer without passing the digital stream through an external processing module. As a result, no noise occurs in video and audio signals to be viewed because the video and audio signals are not influenced by an error of the digital stream that occurs in the processing module.
