  • Patent number: 5429711
Abstract: There is disclosed a wafer-manufacturing method in which a single crystal ingot is first sliced into a plurality of wafers, and both surfaces of each wafer are subjected to grinding or lapping operation. Then, the front and back surfaces of the wafer are subjected to etching. Thereafter, the back surface of the wafer is subjected to chemical mechanical polishing to half-polish the same, following which the wafer is placed on a polishing machine, with the half-polished back surface of the wafer being adhered to a carrier plate; and the front surface of the wafer is mirror-polished. In the foregoing, a polysilicon film for extrinsic gettering may be formed on the back surface of the etched wafer prior to the half-polishing.

  • Patent number: 4738778
Abstract: The filter element of the present has a plurality of wavy portions which are so arranged that a plurality of wavy portions make a generally ring like structure. In order to reduce the pressure drop when the fluid flows through the filter element, the present filter element has a special shaped radial gaps. Namely, the width of a first radial gaps, which is formed within adjacent wavy portions and which connects with an inner space formed at the center of the generally ring like structure, increases from the outer end thereof to the inner end thereof. The width of a second radial gap, which is connected with outer atmosphere, decreases from the outer end thereof to the inner end thereof. Both axial ends of the wavy portions are covered with the adhesive sheet on which adhesive layer is cladded.

  • Patent number: 4624884
Abstract: A thermosetting synthetic resin composition consisting mainly of, for example, an epoxy resin is melted at a temperature of 70.degree. to 130.degree. C. After adding a filler to the resin composition, the resultant mixture is kneaded and rapidly cooled. The composition consists of a thixotropy agent, a leveling agent, etc., in addition to the epoxy resin and a curing agent for the epoxy resin. Aluminum as the filler is added in the amount of 30 wt % to 100 wt % of the mixture. The mixture of the composition with the filler is kneaded and rapidly cooled and is then pulverized to prepare a powder. The powder coating thus obtained is coated on a coil and is cured to provide a heat radiating insulator.
