  • Publication number: 20050056103
Abstract: A gas sampling bag is capable of blowing out the gas uniformly into the bag main body, and filling the bag main body with gas in a securely mixed state. A gas sampling bag that is connected to a constant volume sampling passage, contains a pipe, on which a plurality of gas inlet/outlet holes are formed, in a bag main body, and allows the gas to flow into/out of the bag main body through the gas inlet/outlet holes. The opening of the plurality of gas inlet/outlet holes is formed in such a manner that the size is minimized while the pressure loss is suppressed so as not to increase as far as possible.

  • Patent number: 6202032
Abstract: A forming method for a calibration curve in an infrared gas analyzer. The forming method minimizes the systematic error that occurs in the infrared gas analyzer improves measuring precision. The forming method modifies a method in which gases having different concentrations are supplied to an infrared gas analyzer. The gas analyzer has the outputs corresponding to the gas concentrations, and samples the gas concentrations as a plurality of points, the number of which is not less than four. A calibration curve is approximated by up to a fourth-order polynomial using a method of least squares based upon the measured values of not less than 4 points thus sampled. In carrying out the above-mentioned polynomial approximation, an inverse number of the square of the divided ratio at each point of the calibration curve is used so as to carry out a weighting operation.

  • Patent number: 5976889
Abstract: A method and apparatus for detecting NO.sub.x by chemiluminescence. The apparatus includes a sample gas line having an inlet port for receiving a sample gas, a NO.sub.x converter connected to the sample gas line, a N.sub.2 diluting gas line connected to the sample gas line upstream from the NO.sub.x converter, a bypass exhaust lie connected to the sample gas line, and a chemiluminescence analyzer connected to the NO.sub.x converter. The sample gas, which contains a NO.sub.x component, is introduced to the sample gas line through an inlet portion. The sample gas is diluted with nitrogen gas from the nitrogen diluting gas line, and the NO.sub.x component in the sample gas is converted to NO by the NO.sub.x converter. The chemiluminescence analyzer detects the NO.sub.x component.

  • Patent number: 4876703
Abstract: In an apparatus having a CCD for compressing and/or expanding the time base of an input signal; a first two-phase transfer clock pulse signal made up of first and second pulse train signals having a first period and arranged to be 180.degree. out of phase with each other is used for driving the CCD while writing the input signal into the CCD, a second two-phase transfer clock pulse signal made up of third and fourth pulse train signals having a second period and arranged to be 180.degree. out of phase with each other is used for driving the CCD while reading from the CCD a signal which is produced from the input signal with its time base compressed or expanded, and the pulse width of the first pulse train signal is made virtually equal to the pulse width of the third pulse train signal and such pulse width is selected to be smaller than one-half of the smaller of the first and second periods.

  • Patent number: 4674832
Abstract: An end assembly for connection to a ground wire incorporating an optical fiber cable therein includes a tubular compression sleeve of a plastically deformable material, a protective sleeve received in the compression sleeve and having a bulged portion intermediate opposite ends thereof, and a filler member interposed between the compression sleeve and the protective sleeve. The ground wire comprises a protective tube, an optical fiber cable housed in the protective tube, and a plurality of ground wire elements helically wound around the protective tube. The wire elements are unwound from the protective tube at the end of the ground wire to provide an exposed end portion thereof. The protective sleeve is adapted to be fitted on the exposed end portion of the protective tube with the unwound end portions of the wire elements interposed between the protective sleeve and the filler member.
