Patent number: 5696321Abstract: There is disclosed a thermal-type air flow measuring instrument which judges whether the direction of flow of a fluid, ranging from a static flow to a pulsating flow involving a reverse flow, is forward or reverse, and outputs a signal corresponding to the flow rate of the fluid, thereby measuring the flow rate with high precision. An auxiliary passage is provided in a fluid passage, and is constituted by first, second and third passageways. Two temperature sensing resistors are mounted respectively at an upstream side and a downstream side within the first passageway in close proximity to each other. Most of the fluid, flowed into the first passageway in a forward direction, flows through the second passageway. The third passageway serves to direct a reverse flow of the fluid toward the temperature sensing resistors.Type: GrantFiled: October 18, 1995Date of Patent: December 9, 1997Assignees: Hitachi, Ltd., Hitachi Car Engineering Co., Ltd.Inventors: Shinya Igarashi, Chihiro Kobayashi, Yasunori Mouri, Hitoshi Ishikawa, Kaoru Uchiyama

Patent number: 5672377Abstract: A process for the preparation of polyaniline by an oxidation polymerization of aniline with use of an oxidizing agent and a protonic acid, wherein the pKa value of a byproduct produced by the reduction of the oxidizing agent is greater than the pKa value of the protonic acid. The protonic acid is an aromatic sulfonic acid compound having at least a sulfonic-acid group. A process is also provided for the formation of a solid electrolytic capacitor including an electrolyte of the polyaniline. A method is provided of improving the electrical conductivity of the polyaniline prepared by the above process. The polyaniline is subjected to a heat treatment in a vacuum or an inert gas in which a partial pressure of oxygen is 10 mmHg or below.Type: GrantFiled: March 25, 1996Date of Patent: September 30, 1997Assignee: NEC CorporationInventors: Kosuke Amano, Hitoshi Ishikawa, Atsushi Kobayashi, Masaharu Satoh

Patent number: 4875422Abstract: A sewing machine has a bed housing having a needle penetrating hole at one end thereof, an arm housing rising from the other end of the bed housing and extending to the one end of the bed housing over the bed housing, a laterally-long needle bar arm rotatably held in the arm housing and having a needle at the front end thereof, and a drive unit for swinging the needle bar arm with respect to the bed housing accommodated in the bed housing. The arrangement of the laterally-long needle bar arm and the drive unit accommodated in the bed housing, can effectively reduce the overall height of the sewing machine. It further reduces the weight and cost of the sewing machine, since no conventional material, such as cast iron having a heavy weight is used and die cast aluminum associating with a higher cost, may be employed for producing the arm housing.Type: GrantFiled: May 6, 1988Date of Patent: October 24, 1989Assignee: Aisin Seiki Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Hitoshi Ishikawa

Patent number: 4754337Abstract: A copy machine designed specifically for mounting adjacent the console of a motor vehicle between the front seats thereof includes an elongated rectangular chassis having a cover member pivoted at one end thereof and an output table pivoted at the opposite end thereof with the upper surfaces of the cover member and output table defining an armrest surface. An image reader is mounted in the cover member and cooperating feed rolls are provided on a chassis and cover member for feeding an original document past the image reader and outwardly through an aperture in the upper surface of the output table. An input table is pivotally mounted coaxially with the cover member to provide a guide surface for feeding the original document between the cover member and the chassis. A printing mechanism including a paper supply is mounted in the chassis adjacent the paper feeder and an internal cover member directs the printed copy to a storage compartment which is accessible upon lifting the output table.Type: GrantFiled: December 24, 1986Date of Patent: June 28, 1988Assignee: Aisin Seiki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Hiroshi Nohtomi, Hitoshi Ishikawa

Patent number: 4560919Abstract: A constant-voltage circuit includes a transistor (Q3) for output control connected between a source potential and a ground potential and a divider circuit (R1, R2, D2, D3) which are connected in series. The dividing point of the divider circuit connected between the emitter of the transistor (Q3) and the ground potential serves as an output terminal to be supplied with a predetermined voltage by the emitter of the transistor (Q3), so that a constant voltage appears at the output terminal. Connection between the base and the collector of the transistor (Q3) is so improved that the emitter voltage is not changed following a change in the source voltage. More specifically, the transistor (Q3) is connected in such a manner that the collector-to-emitter voltage is continuously clamped by the base-to-emitter voltage of the transistor (Q3), so that the transistor (Q3) is not subjected to a base width modulation effect and thus the emitter potential is not changed following the change in the source voltage.Type: GrantFiled: August 27, 1984Date of Patent: December 24, 1985Assignee: Mitsubishi Denki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Hitoshi Ishikawa, Kenji Kano
