    Abstract: A process for preparing a flame retardant thermoplastic resin composition which comprises heat mixing and kneading 100 parts by weight of a mixture consisting of a hydroxyl-terminated low molecular weight thermoplastic polyester (A) and a polyfunctional isocyanate (B), or a reaction product of (A) and (B), with 1.5- 25 parts by weight, calculated as halogen, of a specific halogenated epoxy compound, 0.3-15 parts by weight, calculated as antimony, of an antimony compound, and, as the case may be, 0-10 parts by weight of asbestos, and/or 0-60% by weight, based on the total weight of the resin composition obtained, of glass fibers.
