Patent number: 6577940Abstract: A shift control apparatus comprises clutches driven by shift solenoids and whether or not the raising of the rotation speed occurs in an internal combustion engine is determined. If the raising of the engine rotation speed is detected, a hydraulic pressure learn correction is made to engagement hydraulic pressure and a time learn correction is made to the hydraulic pressure supply preparation time. The correction ratio of the energization-hydraulic pressure characteristic (I-P characteristic) of clutch clearance and the shift solenoid is set so as to become an appropriate distribution ratio and the learning is started based thereon.Type: GrantFiled: July 11, 2001Date of Patent: June 10, 2003Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Yoshiharu Saito, Yasushi Inagawa, Takanori Kon, Hitoshi Kondou

Patent number: 5683889Abstract: The present invention relates to a reagent for measurement of magnesium ions utilizing a complex of magnesium ion with adenosine 5'-triphosphate as a substrate of glucokinase derived from bacteria of the genus Zymomonas. By using this reagent, enough measuring range to measure a magnesium ion in various samples such as biological fluids, foodstuffs, etc. can be accomplished and, at the same time, the measurement can be made with high precision and reliability even in a sample containing a magnesium ion in low concentration. Further, the reagent of the present invention is superior in operation property by reducing a dilution operation, and has sufficient performance for a routine method for determination of magnesium ions.Type: GrantFiled: September 23, 1993Date of Patent: November 4, 1997Assignees: Iatron Laboratories, Inc., Unitika, Ltd.Inventors: Hitoshi Kondou, Kazuhiko Nagata, Kazue Kawahara

Patent number: 5684708Abstract: A numerically controlled machining method and a numerically controlled machining system execute numerically controlled machining. An optimum processing tool is selected based on the numerical control orders, and the processing steps are optimized. A numerically controlled machining system is constituted by a numerically controlled processor, controllers and numerically controlled machines. The numerically controlled processor finds production times for machining parts for all the numerical control orders and compares them with a reference value to classify them into a group of special express processes and a group of normal processes. The special express processes pertain to the group of machining methods giving importance to the degree of finish, and the normal processes are divided into a group of machining methods for minimizing the exchange of machining tools or to a group of machining methods of optimizing a drawing number, whichever gives better machining efficiency.Type: GrantFiled: March 20, 1995Date of Patent: November 4, 1997Assignee: Fujitsu LimitedInventors: Hitoshi Kondou, Yuji Seki

Patent number: 5196955Abstract: An improved liquid crystal optical device utilizing a ferroelectric liquid crystal and a driving method for the same are described. A ferroelectric liquid crystal material disposed between a pair of substrates in the optical device has a coefficient of viscosity of 5000 cps to 30000 cps and a negative dielectric anisotropy at operational temperatures, e.g. between 10.degree. C. and 40.degree. C. The liquid crystal consists of a number of layers normal to the substrates. The constituent layer in turn consists of liquid crystal molecules parallel to the substrates. Misalignment of the molecules yields bends in the layered structure which degrades the contrast ratio. When given alternating electric fields, the molecules are subjected to an electric torque which exerts thereon in order to force the molecules parallel to the substrate by virtue of the negative dielectric anisotropy so that the bends can be removed.Type: GrantFiled: May 22, 1991Date of Patent: March 23, 1993Assignees: Semiconductor Energy Laboratory Co., Ltd., Takasago International CorporationInventors: Toshimitsu Konuma, Shunpei Yamazaki, Toshimitsu Hagiwara, Hitoshi Kondou

Patent number: 5109295Abstract: A new type of non-volatile bistable liquid crystal device is disclosed. The device has substrates spaced apart by such a distance that the molecular arrangement of the liquid crystal moaterial is helical and is arranged such that the liquid crystal molecules can selectively take up either of two optically anisotropic stable conditions in dependence puon an applied electric field. The transition between the two stable conditions takes place via an intermediate conditon in which the liquid crystal molecules are reearranged in helical form and represent an optically isotropic condition.Type: GrantFiled: January 28, 1991Date of Patent: April 28, 1992Assignee: Semiconductor Energy Laboratory Co., Ltd.Inventors: Masahiko Sato, Toshiji Hamatani, Toshimitsu Hagiwara, Hitoshi Kondou
