  • Patent number: 8680301
Abstract: There are provided foods and beverages that will suppress the absorption of dietary lipids, thereby suppressing the rise of triglyceride in blood. High-molecular weight polyphenol fractions recovered from oolong tea are added to foods or beverages as an active ingredient for inhibiting lipase activity. The foods and beverages of the present invention are safe and their inherent flavor has not been impaired; hence, they may be taken in routinely so that the lipase inhibitory action of the high-molecular weight polyphenol fractions will suppress the rise of triglyceride in blood and prevent obesity.

  • Publication number: 20120225177
Abstract: The present invention provides carbonated beverages that have new qualities of being less likely to release carbon dioxide dissolved therein, bringing the feeling of fine bubbles in drinking, and allowing a full control of their sparkling characteristic, and a method for producing the carbonated beverages. A liquid containing carbon dioxide gas is passed through an apparatus to generate cavitation under pressure conditions to generate cavitation in the liquid, thereby making finer the bubbles of the dissolved carbon dioxide gas.

  • Publication number: 20080260911
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a coffee beverage is provided that is capable of efficiently removing precipitating components and turbid components from a highly concentrated coffee extract 1, and that is also capable of addressing increases in the production volume of the coffee beverage without particularly large changes being made to the scale of the equipment. The coffee extract 1 obtained from an extraction process performed on ground roasted coffee beans is diluted in the method for manufacturing a coffee beverage, and the coffee extract 1 is filtered using a cross-flow filtering apparatus before dilution.

  • Patent number: 6463864
Abstract: A gasification and melting furnace for wastes has a vertically movable furnace center lance disposed along the axis of the furnace and adapted to blow off a combustion sustaining gas downward into the furnace. One or more stages of upper tuyeres are disposed so that the angle at which the combustion sustaining gas is blown off into the furnace is displaced from the furnace axis direction, and one or more stages of lower tuyeres projected into the furnace so as to blow off a combustion sustaining gas or both combustion sustaining gas and fuel toward the furnace axis. Formation of a low temperature region in the furnace are prevented and a fire spot is concentrated on the combustion of wastes. As a result, molten slag and various metals, as well as an energy gas, which are high in added value, can be recovered stably.

  • Patent number: 5926801
Abstract: An electronic dealing system which electronically performs matching processing between the information on transaction orders placed by order side customers and information on transaction orders placed by hit side customers so as to establish transactions, which system sets a margin relative to a last trade price, calculates a decision price from the last trade price and the set margin when the last trade price has been determined, detects if a situation has occurred which is disadvantageous to the customer under current market conditions with respect to the price of the offered order by judging the relative size of the price of the order placed by the order side customer and the calculated decision price, and outputs an alarm when it detects the occurrence of a disadvantageous situation, whereby the load on the customer is lightened and the customer can trade with more certainty.

  • Patent number: 5655088
Abstract: The present invention proves an electronic dealing system, which electronically performs matching processing between information on transaction orders placed by order side customers and information on transaction orders placed by hit side customers so as to establish transactions the electronic dealing system detects orders for which hit requests have been made, but for which transactions have failed to be established for a long period of time and eliminates those orders from the electronic dealing market. Further, when transactions fail to be established due to factors other than the transaction price and the transaction amounts, other customers which would help establish the transactions between order side and hit side customers are found so as to increase the number of transactions which are established.
