  • Patent number: 6675184
Abstract: In an adaptive type signal estimator, an estimation signal storage unit outputs the first sample signal to which nonlinear distortion is added. A convolution arithmetic unit adds linear distortion to the first sample signal and outputs the second sample signal. A coefficient corrector receives the first sample signal, reception signal, and the determination signal, and corrects the second sample signal. The coefficient corrector obtains a difference signal based on a replica generated from the reception signal and first sample signal and a delayed reception signal obtained by delaying the reception signal by a predetermined period of time, obtains a product signal by multiplying the difference signal by a convergence factor, updates an impulse response value by using the product signal, and outputs the updated impulse response value to the convolution arithmetic unit.

  • Patent number: 6049563
Abstract: Multiplexing of signals with an application of a spread spectrum signal multiplexing system employing chirp signals is disclosed. A plurality of transmission signals are respectively time-shifted and synthesized. Then the synthesized signal is convoluted by a chirp signal from a chirp filter so as to generate a transmission signal. At a demodulation section, the multiplexed signal is time-divided due to being passed through an inverse-chirp filter. Then multipath distortion at a transmission channel is eliminated by a decision feed-back equalizer. From multiplexed signal from which the distortion is to be removed each of the signals is extracted respectively different timing data for each signal so as to output the signals as received data.

  • Patent number: 5736712
Abstract: An arc welding torch which can generate an electric arc in a predetermined position even when large rotational torque acts on welding wire. A passage of the arc welding torch has a plurality of curves which are taken first in one direction and then in another direction along the passage, and the curvature radius and curve angle of each of the curves are designed so that minimum torque T1 which is necessary for the welding wire to turn in the guide passage is greater than torque T2 which causes torsional yielding of the welding wire. Owing to the curvature radius and curve angle of each of the curves and elasticity of the welding wire which comes in contact with each of the curves, the welding wire is inhibited from turning in the guide passage. Therefore, a fore end of the welding wire occupies the same position with respect to the current feed chip, and an electric arc can be generated in a desired position.
