  • Patent number: 4692651
Abstract: A vibration wave motor has a movable member divided into a plurality of sections in a direction of movement. Opposite ends of press-contact areas of the divided sections of the movable member to a vibration member are supported by a support member. The press-contact areas have a smaller rigidity than that of the support member.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4649311
Abstract: A vibration wave motor has a support plate having a pin for supporting the vibration wave motor and an elastic ring through which a travelling vibration wave of the vibration wave motor propagates. The support plate and the elastic ring are bonded in union so that a support structure is simplified.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 25, 1985
Date of Patent: March 10, 1987
    Assignee: Canon Kabushiki Kaisha
    Inventors: Hitoshi Mukohjima, Akira Hiramatsu
  • Patent number: 4645964
Abstract: A motor which drives a movable member by a travelling vibration wave generated in a vibration member having electrostrictive elements arranged with a phase difference therebetween is disclosed. The electrostrictive elements are stacked in a lamination direction with the phase difference therebetween so that a contact area between the electrostrictive elements and the vibration member is increased and a high output and high efficiency drive is attained.
