Patent number: 9213140Abstract: The fiber component of the present invention has a fusion splice section for connecting optical fibers. The optical fiber as the receiver of transmitted light is coated with at least two-layer resin. In the vicinity of the fusion splice section for connecting optical fibers, the innermost layer of a resin-coat section is uncovered with other resin coat at the boundary between the resin-coat section and resin-coat removed section of the optical fiber coated with two-layer resin. The structure effectively releases light and suppresses increase in temperature of the resin-coat section, protecting the optical fibers from burn-out.Type: GrantFiled: May 15, 2014Date of Patent: December 15, 2015Assignee: Panasonic Intellectual Property Management Co., Ltd.Inventors: Hitoshi Nishimura, Hideaki Itoh, Doukei Nagayasu, Rintaro Nishina

Patent number: 8696335Abstract: A multi-stage oil-free screw compressor includes: a suction throttle valve for controlling air intake into the compressor; a piston assembly for operating the suction throttle valve; and a structure for supplying a working pressure to the piston assembly. In order to reduce startup load at the time of startup of the compressor, the suction throttle valve is fully closed while a secondary side of a compressor body is opened to the atmosphere. When a negative pressure and the air pressure, that provide the working pressure, are used for slightly opening the suction throttle valve in order to switch the compressor to a loaded mode after a motor for driving the compressor is accelerated to its top speed, the air pressure is provided by a control pipe line that is defined by the same pipe line that forms a drain pipe line. This permits the control pipe line to be opened to the atmosphere as needed during the startup time. Thus is provided the oil-free screw compressor achieving improved startup reliability.Type: GrantFiled: July 28, 2011Date of Patent: April 15, 2014Assignee: Hitachi Industrial Equipment Systems Co., Ltd.Inventors: Hideki Fujimoto, Hitoshi Nishimura

Patent number: 8678929Abstract: A method for operating a networked interactive game system is provided. An input command generated by a local user of a local game system that controls a local object of an interactive game may be received. A state for the local object in the present game frame may be predicted based on the input command. State data of a first object of the interactive game that was determined in a network simulation of a previous game frame may be retrieved. A global object of the interactive game in the present game frame may be course-corrected to be aligned with the global object in the previous game frame using the predicted state for the local object in the present game frame and the state data of the first object of the previous game frame. The present game frame may be rendered with the course-corrected global object.Type: GrantFiled: August 1, 2008Date of Patent: March 25, 2014Assignee: Electronics Arts Inc.Inventors: Hitoshi Nishimura, Wu Hai, Harold Chaput, Wilson Venhola, Asim Shahjahan

Patent number: 8665916Abstract: The optical fiber of the present invention has an input double-clad fiber containing high-reflection FBG, an oscillation double-clad fiber, and an output double-clad fiber containing low-reflection FBG. The output double-clad fiber is formed of a core, a first clad, and a second clad. In the output double-clad fiber, a high refractive-index resin coat section recoated with high refractive-index resin whose refractive index is the same as that of the second clad or greater is disposed at a part where the second clad is partly removed between an output end and the low-reflection FBG. The refractive index of the high refractive-index resin coat section gradually increases along the direction in which light travels through the first clad.Type: GrantFiled: June 14, 2012Date of Patent: March 4, 2014Assignee: Panasonic CorporationInventors: Hitoshi Nishimura, Hideaki Itoh
