Patent number: 5651466Abstract: A swirl type foreign material removing machine is formed of a casing having an end wall, a smooth side wall connected to the end wall and extending from the end wall, a first outlet formed at a side away from the end wall, an inlet formed in the side wall at a side away from the first outlet, and a second outlet formed in a center of the end wall. A raw material supply path is tangentially connected to the casing through the inlet, and a device for adjusting an opening rate of the inlet is formed in the side wall. An amount of the raw material ejected into the casing is adjusted by the adjusting device, so that the foreign materials are effectively removed from the first outlet.Type: GrantFiled: March 20, 1995Date of Patent: July 29, 1997Assignee: Satomi Seisakusho Co., Ltd.Inventor: Hitoshi Satomi

Patent number: 5474240Abstract: An apparatus for refining a paper material is formed of a casing, a first chamber situated in the casing and having first and second openings, a second chamber situated inside the casing adjacent the first chamber and having a third opening, a screen plate for dividing the casing into the first and second chambers, and an agitating member situated inside the first chamber adjacent to the screen plate for agitating the paper material in the first chamber. The screen plate removes a part of foreign substances in the paper material. In the invention, a cleaning device for removing the other part of the foreign substances contained in the paper material is situated in the first chamber or the second chamber. The cleaning device is formed of a plurality of cleaners. The paper material supplied from the first opening passes through the cleaning device and the screen plate, and is discharged from the third opening so that the one and the other foreign substances are substantially removed from the paper material.Type: GrantFiled: April 4, 1995Date of Patent: December 12, 1995Assignee: Satomi Seisakusho Co., Ltd.Inventor: Hitoshi Satomi

Patent number: 5435444Abstract: A composite type screen includes a machine main body divided into a first structural part in which a first processing chamber is contained and a second structural part in which a second processing chamber is contained and a screen plate is interposed between the surfaces of the first structural part and the second structural part. Since a first rotary shaft having an impeller mounted thereto is disposed in the first processing chamber and a second rotary shaft having a rotor mounted thereto is disposed in the secondary processing chamber, the first rotary shaft does not pass through the first screen member. As a result, a seal member for the first screen member is not needed, whereby the number of parts is reduced and moreover a paper material can pass through the entire region of the first screen member and the area thereof through which the paper material passes is increased, so that a foreign substance removing efficiency can be improved.Type: GrantFiled: March 8, 1994Date of Patent: July 25, 1995Assignee: Satomi Seisakusho Co., Ltd.Inventor: Hitoshi Satomi

Patent number: 5078859Abstract: A stock screening apparatus has a material supply port which communicates with a material supply passage, and a first discharge port which communicates with a first discharge passage. The first discharge passage is located within a downward projected image of the material supply passage. In consequence, the stock which flows into a primary chamber flows in a vortex along the periphery of the primary chamber, and the foreign materials contained in this vortex, such as stones or metals, can thus be discharged through the first discharge passage when they are moved to the first discharge port. Also, a rotary shaft of a drum-shaped rotary body is disposed horizontally. An opening of the portion of the primary chamber located downstream of the drum-shaped rotary body and that of the secondary chamber are closed by a cover.Type: GrantFiled: June 19, 1990Date of Patent: January 7, 1992Assignee: Satomi Seisakusho Co., Ltd.Inventor: Hitoshi Satomi

Patent number: 5048765Abstract: A paper material refining apparatus has a tank the space in which is divided by a drum-type screen plate into a primary chamber and a secondary chamber, and a material supply pipe for supplying the paper material and a drum-shaped rotor for rotating the material are disposed in the primary chamber. The drum-type rotor is disposed such that its peripheral surface opposes the drum-type screen plate, with the top plate thereof facing the open end of the material supply pipe. The drum-type rotor is provided with step-like projections on the outer peripheral surface thereof. Foreign matters contained in the paper material such as metal pieces are struck by the top plate of the rotor and displaced radially outward by the centrifugal force.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 1990Date of Patent: September 17, 1991Assignee: Satomi Seisakusho Co., Ltd.Inventor: Hitoshi Satomi
