  • Publication number: 20240367186
Abstract: A rotary part of a pump (200) is connected to a body member (110) to be rotatable together. When the body member is attached to a main shaft (20) of a machine tool (10), a rotation stopping pin (310) of a rotation stopping device (300) fits in a fitting hole (41) of the machine tool and abuts on a wall surface (41a) of the fitting hole, whereby the rotation stopping pin and a rotation stopping lever (340) axially move against an elastic force of a spring (320) and the rotation stopping lever disengages from an engagement hole (113) in the body member such that the body member becomes rotatable relative to a support part (150, 160) that rotatably holds the rotary part. A force detecting sensor (50) outputs a force detection signal indicating a force with which the rotation stopping pin is pressing against the wall surface.

  • Publication number: 20240351112
Abstract: A tool holder (100) holds a tool (170) in a non-rotatable manner. When an attaching surface (112a) of a body part (110, 120, 150) of the tool holder is attached to a tool holder attachment surface of a machine tool, cooling medium supplied from the machine tool flows through a first body part passage (114, 124). Then, a rotary member (130) is rotationally driven by a drive mechanism provided in the machine tool. When a rotary part of a pump (200) rotates with the rotary member, the pressure of the cooling medium suctioned into the pump is proportionally increased in accordance with the rotational speed of the rotary part, and pressurized cooling medium is discharged from an outlet part (202) of the pump. The pressurized cooling medium then flows through a second body part passage (115, 125) and is thereafter sprayed from a spray hole (161) of a nozzle (160).

  • Publication number: 20240222736
Abstract: A battery pack (174; 174?) having at least one all-solid-state battery cell for driving a motor of a battery-powered portable tool (1) can be charged using regenerated electric power generated by an electric motor (196). However, charging with regenerated electric power might cause damage to the battery pack if the battery cells are not in a state capable of being recharged with regenerated electric power. Therefore, the battery pack includes a battery-condition determination circuit that is configured or programmed to: (i) assess the condition of the at least one all-solid-state battery cell and (ii) generate an electrical signal that indicates whether or not the battery pack is in a state that permits charging using the regenerated electric power.

  • Patent number: 12011813
Abstract: An electric work machine (1; 110; 120; 130), such as a power tool, includes a motor (11) having a rotor, a drive part (13) that supplies electric currents to drive the motor, a rotational-direction selection part (17), and a motor-control part (14; 31, 32, 40, 50, 60; 14, 40, 60, 73, 80; 14, 60, 91). The rotational-direction selection part is configured for manually setting (selecting) the rotational direction of the rotor and outputs first and second setting signals that each indicate the set (selected) rotational direction. The motor-control part controls the drive part such that the rotor rotates in the rotational direction indicated by the first setting signal and/or the second setting signal. In response to a determination that the rotational directions indicated by the first and second setting signals are inconsistent, the motor-control part stops or prevents the drive of the motor.
