  • Publication number: 20080219761
Abstract: Cylindrical portions 34 are formed on a leg plate 20 side of plural opposition walls 32 formed on a sensor holder 24. Pins 40 are formed coaxially with the cylindrical portions 34 on the side of the opposition walls 32 opposite from the side facing the leg plate 20. When a sensor cover 44 is to be attached to the leg plate 20 in a state where the cylindrical portions 34 have been fittingly inserted into through holes 38 in the leg plate 20, cross ribs 56 formed on the sensor cover 44 in correspondence to the pins 40 push the pins 40 and cause them to enter the cylindrical portions 34. Thus, the diameters of the cylindrical portions 34 are expanded, whereby the sensor holder 24 is fastened/fixed to the leg plate 20.

  • Publication number: 20080116309
Abstract: In a webbing retractor (10), a gear case (70), which rotatably supports another end of a shaft (162) of a lock pawl (160), is fixed to a frame (12) via engaging pins (182, 184). Namely, the engaging pin (182) is fit-together with an engaging hole (186) of a leg plate (16), and the engaging pin (184) is fit-together with an engaging hole (188) at a side of a sliding locus of a rack bar (68) which side is opposite a side at which the engaging pin (182) is located, and at a position which is displaced further in a sliding direction of the rack bar (68) than the engaging pin (182). In accordance with the webbing retractor (10), even if the gear case (70) attempts to be displaced with respect to the leg plate (16), the engaging pins (182, 184) resist this, and displacement of the gear case (70) can be prevented. Namely, changes in a supporting position of a specific member, which is provided in a vicinity of a sliding locus of a sliding member of a pretensioner, can be suppressed or prevented.

  • Publication number: 20070290496
Abstract: An amount of webbing that is pulled-out after operation of a pretensioner mechanism is reduced. In a webbing retractor 10, a lock pawl 78 is set in a non-meshable state in which it cannot mesh with a lock gear 26. At a time when a pretensioner mechanism 34 operates and a clutch plate 42 rotates in a take-up direction, a lock stopper 86 rotates together with the clutch plate 42 and releases engagement with the lock pawl 78. Therefore, the lock pawl 78 is rotated by a compression coil spring 70 and changed to a meshable state. In this way, immediately after rotational force in a pull-out direction is applied to the lock gear 26 due to load from a vehicle occupant after operation of the pretensioner mechanism 34, the lock pawl 78 meshes with the lock gear 26, and pulling-out of a webbing 20 is impeded. Therefore, an amount of the webbing 20 which is pulled-out can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 7290730
Abstract: A pinion of a pretensioner is provided at a side of a torsion shaft, which side is opposite a side connected integrally to a spool via a sleeve. A base lock of a lock mechanism is connected to the pinion. Due to the lock mechanism operating, a leg plate side end portion of the torsion shaft is locked. In this way, due to operation of the pretensioner, the pinion, which is connected to a rotating portion of a sleeve, also is locked by the locking mechanism. Therefore, a piston of the pretensioner is not lowered, and internal pressure of a cylinder does not affect deformation of the torsion shaft.

  • Publication number: 20060208475
Abstract: In a pretensioner device, engaging teeth of a pinion (rotating body) have first projections which project-out toward the other side in the peripheral direction of a cam portion. Meshing claws of a clutch plate have second projections which project-out toward a one side in the peripheral direction of the cam portion, and whose gear portion side end surfaces face the first projections. In a state before operation of the pretensioner device, movement of the clutch plate toward one side in the axial direction with respect to the pinion is restricted due to the second projections engaging with the first projections. Accordingly, in the pretensioner device, in the state before operation, even if some type of external force is applied to the clutch plate, positional offset of the clutch plate toward the one side in the axial direction with respect to the pinion can be prevented.

  • Publication number: 20060144983
Abstract: A webbing retractor which can prevent gas, which is for rotating a take-up shaft in a take-up direction, from affecting other structural parts. In the webbing retractor, when a pretensioner mechanism operates, gas for operation within a cylinder is exhausted toward a pinion via a gas venting hole formed in a flange portion of a piston. Because a blocking wall is provided between the pinion and an acceleration sensor, exhausted gas passes between the pinion and the blocking wall, and is exhausted to an outer side of the webbing retractor from an upper end side of a cover plate or the like. In this way, blowing-out of the exhausted gas onto the acceleration sensor is blocked, and the exhausted gas can be prevented from affecting the acceleration sensor.

  • Publication number: 20050224620
Abstract: In the webbing retractor, a lock plate is supported by a circular axis so as to be circularly movable freely by a resin support portion of a gear case by insertion of the circular axis of the lock plate in a support hole of the gear case. Even at times when great load acts on the lock plate at the support portion side, deformation of the support portion caused by movement towards the support portion side of the lock plate is prevented due to the tip of the circular axis of the lock plate contacting the metal blocking portion of the cover plate. Due to this, release of the support of the lock plate by the support portion is prevented.

  • Publication number: 20050211816
Abstract: A moving member that causes a take-up shaft to rotate is prevented from passing through a limit position. In a webbing take-up device, a piston rises when a vehicle disposed with the webbing-take device experiences an emergency situation, whereby a pinion, a clutch plate, a lock gear, a torsion shaft and a spool are rotated, and a webbing is taken up. Thus, a flange of the piston abuts against a piston stopper fixed to a frame, and the rising energy of the piston is absorbed. Moreover, an upper end of the piston abuts against an inhibitor portion of a cover plate disposed at a limit position, and the rising of the piston is inhibited. Thus, the upper end of the piston causing the pinion to rotate can be reliably prevented from passing through the limit position.
