A separator for a power storage device according to the present disclosure comprises: a base material of a polyolefin microporous film; and a coating layer disposed on at least one surface of the base material, wherein the coating layer contains an inorganic filler and a particulate polymer protruding to a position that corresponds to at least 0.1 times the thickness of the coating layer.

Abstract: Provided is an inspection device or a manufacturing method for a separator having a thermoplastic polymer layer. A separator S includes a substrate, and a thermoplastic polymer layer disposed on a portion of one side or both sides of the substrate. The present invention is characterized by including a step for inspecting the surface of the separator S, wherein the separator is inspected by using an inspection device having a camera 2 and a light source 1 that irradiates an inspection portion of the separator with light at an incident angle of 60° to 90°.
