  • Patent number: 8223199
Abstract: In a finger vein authentication unit and an information processing unit using the same, in order to realize a reduction in size and maintain high accuracy such that the finger vein authentication unit is applied to a small-sized information processing unit such as a mobile telephone, the finger vein authentication unit includes a light source which irradiates infrared light to a finger, an imaging sensor which images a vein image by the light which is diffused in the finger and transmitted through the front side of the finger, and an image processing unit which processes the image. The light source is mounted on the front side of the finger and emits the light toward the side surfaces of the finger. Further, a wall is disposed on either side of the finger vein authentication unit for supporting the finger and guiding the irradiated infrared light.

  • Publication number: 20080317293
Abstract: Provided is a finger vein authentication apparatus including a light source for emitting light toward a finger, an image sensor for taking an image of the transmitted light from the finger, a lens apparatus for imaging the transmitted light to the image sensor, and an image processor for processing the taken image. The lens apparatus includes a lens unit, and the image processor extracts a vein pattern of the finger upon correcting the strain of the taken image.

  • Publication number: 20080075331
Abstract: Within a finger vein authentication input apparatus, a finger positioning portion comprises a fingertip projection portion provided at a position corresponding to the tip of the finger when picking up an image thereof, protruding into the horizontal direction, soas to be in contact with a tip of a finger, horizontally, a finger pulp projection portion provided at the position corresponding to the tip of the finger when picking up the image thereof, protruding into the vertical direction, so as to be in contact with the tip of the finger, vertically, and a base guide portion provided at the position corresponding to the base side than a second joint of the finger when picking up the image thereof, having a configuration curved along the cross-section configuration of the finger, or a curved configuration including a projection portion at a center thereof, thereby increasing an accuracy of positioning the finger in the longitudinal direction thereof, and further lowering shift of angle of attaching the finger i

  • Patent number: 4959743
Abstract: A rotary magnetic head drum apparatus is constituted by at least one video head, a rotary drum having a tape running surface and a head mounting surface to which the video head is securely mounted, and a stationary drum provided with a tape guide and a tape running surface. In the rotary magnetic head drum apparatus, the tape running surface or the rotary drum has a lower end portion which is formed with a tapered portion whose diameter becomes gradually smaller along the axis of the rotary drum, and the tapered portion is projected such that its bottom end surface is located below the plane of the head mounting surface.

  • Patent number: 4833562
Abstract: A rotary magnetic head cylinder device for use in a helical-scanning system video tape recorder has a projection provided on a tape running race of a stationary lower cylinder near a location at which a magnetic tape leaves from the lower cylinder. The projection is preferably integral with the tape running race and has a small area which is defined by a shoulder circumferentially extending identically with a tape guide shoulder contouring the lower edge of the tape running race and which spreads perpendicularly to the tape running race, and an upper surface coplanar with the top face of the lower cylinder, and a height defined by a protruded length radially outwardly toward the outer circumferential surface of the lower cylinder. The projection serves to reduce vibrations of the magnetic tape generated when the video head carried by the rotary upper cylinder leaves from the magnetic tape.

  • Patent number: 4725910
Abstract: A rotary cylinder device for helical scan type magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus including a rotary cylinder having an axis of rotation arranged in opposition a stationary cylinder in the direction of the axis of rotation with a small gap therebetween. The rotary cylinder has an end surface facing the stationary cylinder and an outer peripheral surface, recesses formed in the end surface and opening in the outer peripheral surface so as to extend therefrom radially inwardly over a small distance. Each of the recesses has a leading end wall and a trailing end wall, as viewed in the direction of rotation of the rotary cylinder. Magnetic heads are fixed to the rotary cylinder and are positioned in the recesses and have outer extremities projecting beyond the outer peripheral surface of the rotary cylinder.
