  • Patent number: 5668805
Abstract: A multiplex broadcasting method and system which limits an object district for broadcasting of district information such as a commercial message relating closely to the district is disclosed. On the broadcasting station side, multiplex data such as animation are broadcast with a district code such as a postal code number added thereto. On the receiving set side, a district code of the location is registered as an identification number of the multiplex broadcast receiving set in a memory in advance, and the district code of received multiplex data separated by a data extraction circuit and the identification number stored in the memory are compared with each other. Only when they coincide with each other, an image corresponding to the received multiplex data is displayed on the receiving set.

  • Patent number: 5649284
Abstract: The present invention provides a multiplex broadcasting system and a multiplex broadcast signal receiver for receiving multiplex broadcast signals. The multiplex broadcasting system composes second broadcast information of multi-frequency signals each of a combination of one tone in a first frequency group of audio bands unrelated with each other in articulation and one tone in a second frequency group of audio bands unrelated with each other in articulation, and multiplexes the second broadcast information and main broadcast audio signals. The multiplex broadcast signal receiver comprises decoding means for continuously monitoring the audio signal included in the received multiplex broadcast signal, detecting multi-frequency signals to identify the combination of the multi-frequency signals, receiving means for receiving the output of the decoding means as second broadcast information, and storage means for storing the second broadcast information.

  • Patent number: 5606726
Abstract: In two-way broadcasting, the broadcasting side broadcasts a broadcast signal multiplexed with information for identifying a no-ringing response function of the destination. When the destination has the no-ringing response function, the receiving side dials the no-ringing dialing number before the telephone number of the destination on the basis of the function identifying information. Thus, a telephone service station transmits the specified no-ringing dialing signal such as an NCNG or NRS signal. Moreover, when a broadcasting side having a plurality of destinations corresponding to a plurality of replies broadcasts a signal multiplexed with the information for identifying a plurality of destinations corresponding to a plurality of the replies, the receiving side selectively dials a plurality of the destinations on the basis of the destination identifying information, and terminates the line connection upon reception of the signal.

  • Patent number: 5592213
Abstract: A television broadcast receiver capable of transmitting user input data to a predetermined destination associated with the broadcast side and having a remote commander with a two-way button for switching the mode of a television receiver between a mode responsive and a mode nonresponsive to a two-way broadcast program. Buttons provided on the commander are assigned both the function as channel selection buttons of a receiving unit, or the function of data input means for inputting data representing a reply to a two-way broadcast program.
