  • Patent number: 9445384
Abstract: Provided are a mobile device capable of generating multiple maximum transfer units (MTUs) and a data transfer method. The method includes determining whether a network is registered with the mobile device; if the network is not registered in the mobile device, generating a virtual interface to generate a maximum transfer unit (MTU) value of the network; and registering the network by storing the MTU value of the network in the mobile device. The mobile device includes an MTU management unit configured to determine whether a network is registered with the mobile device, and, if the network is not registered in the mobile device, to generate a virtual interface to generate an MTU value of the network.

  • Publication number: 20130246656
Abstract: A method of operating an Internet protocol (IP) address allocates, creates, and processes an interface identifier (ID) of an IP address area. In the allocation, the IP address area includes a subnet prefix area and an Interface ID area, and certain bits of the Interface ID area are used as an index area of a subnet gateway. The allocation is implemented in order from the higher layer to the lower layer so that the Interface ID area is sequentially allocated from the higher bits for the index areas of the respective layers. The combination of the certain bits of the allocated Interface ID and the subnet prefix area of the IP address area is used as the subnet ID of the subnet layers. The lowest subnet gateway allocates the Interface ID to terminating equipment to access the IP network based on a format of the IP address.

  • Publication number: 20110067097
Abstract: A platform security apparatus and a method thereof are capable of protecting a mobile communication terminal from an abnormal or unintended operation of an application program installed over a platform of the mobile communication terminal. An authentication key is created with respect to each function of an application program, and the authentication key and an identifier of the application program are associated with each other and stored. An authentication process is performed by comparing an authentication key and an identifier of an application program registered as function parameters with an authentication key and an identifier of the application program which have been stored, when the application program calls the function.

  • Patent number: 7693163
Abstract: A method of operating an Internet protocol (IP) address that effectively allocates, creates, and processes an interface identifier (ID) of an IP address area, and a subnet system using the same are provided. Allocation is done such that in the IP address area including a subnet prefix area and an Interface ID area, certain bits of the Interface ID area are used as an index area of a subnet gateway. In this case, the allocation is implemented in order from the higher layer to the lower layer so that the Interface ID area is sequentially allocated from the higher bits thereof for the index areas of the respective layers. The combination of the certain bits of the allocated Interface ID and the subnet prefix area of the IP address area is used as the subnet ID of the respective subnet layers. The lowest subnet gateway allocates the Interface ID to terminating equipment trying to access to the IP network based on a format of the IP address.

  • Publication number: 20050089008
Abstract: A method for performing packet data communication between a mobile station (MS) and a packet data serving node (PDSN) in the next generation mobile communication network. In accordance with the packet data communication method, a traffic channel is set up between the MS and a radio network (RN), and a packet connection is set up between the RN and the PDSN. The MS and the PDSN exchange a data packet by means of an Internet protocol (IP) session without setting up a point-to-point protocol (PPP) layer connection. Therefore, unnecessary bytes of a PPP packet can be removed, and a negotiation process for setting up a PPP layer connection and time delay due to the negotiation process can be removed. An operation of transmitting IP information for the MS that is conventionally performed in the PPP layer connection setup process is performed using a broadcast/multicast Internet protocol (IP) packet, in a packet data service method in the mobile communication network.
