  • Patent number: 8186233
Abstract: An input device that is capable of sensing how hard a user is pressing when contacted is disclosed. The input device includes a pressure sensing unit generating an electrical signal in accordance with pressure applied on one surface of the pressure sensing unit and a fixed resistance making a parallel electrical connection with the pressure sensing unit. Thus, not only can the input device receive a form of information that is changed proportionally in accordance with the pressure applied by the user, but the deviation in electrical characteristics that may occur during the manufacturing of different products can also be reduced. Also, by adjusting the resistance value of the fixed resistance, the sum of the resistance values by the parallel connection between the fixed resistance and the pressure sensitive resistance can be adjusted so that the electrical signal generated by the input device through pressing can be adjusted.

  • Publication number: 20120061571
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a laser navigation module. The laser navigation module includes a light source emitting laser light. An IR window allows the laser light emitted by the light source to pass therethrough and be reflected thereon, and prevents the entry of visible light. A housing is equipped with the IR window and includes a transparent or semi-transparent part. An illuminator is provided in the housing to emit light to the outside of the housing. The laser navigation module further includes an opaque part or a blocking layer for selective blocking, thus enabling light to be emitted to a desired area of the housing, therefore making it convenient to use even in a dark place.

  • Patent number: 6638691
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for fabricating a plate-type magnetic resistance sensor chip simply and easily. First, a characteristic membrane composed of NiCo and NiFe is deposited over a surface of a glass wafer, exposed to light, and etched in a predetermined pattern to establish sensing parts. Then, a protective film is formed atop each of the sensing parts by depositing a SiO2 membrane over the glass wafer, exposing the SiO2 membrane to light, and etching the SiO2 membrane in the same pattern as in the sensing part. The resulting structure is subjected to sand blasting to form through-holes at every corner of the sensing parts. A NiFe film is deposited around the through-holes on both sides of the glass wafer and within the through-holes to form conductors.
