  • Publication number: 20160234761
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided for performing a cell search by a receiver in a communication system. A scrambling code is identified by correlating a common pilot channel with a first synchronization accumulation length based on a frame boundary and a code group. A multipath signal is sought by correlating the common pilot channel with a second synchronization accumulation length based on the frame boundary and the code group. A difference between, or a ratio of, a first maximum value of first correlation values acquired during identification of the scrambling code and a second maximum value of second correlation values acquired during searching for the multipath signal, is determined. It is determined whether a frequency offset exists by comparing the difference or the ratio with a predetermined threshold value. The frequency offset is estimated and the frequency offset is transmitted to a demodulator, when the frequency offset exists.

  • Publication number: 20120087406
Abstract: A device and method is provided for iterative inter-cell interference cancellation and channel equalization in the mobile communication system. A downlink receiver of a mobile communication system according to the present invention includes a channel estimator for estimating channel impulse response of a selected cell from channel signals of respective cells; an equalizer for equalizing the channel impulse response output by the channel estimator using an equalization coefficient; a despreader for generating a symbol observation value per code channel by despreading the output of the equalizer with a code of the selected cell; and a cell interference estimator for estimating a symbol signal power and noise power of a data code channel from the symbol observation value and generates the estimated MMSE as a chip level regeneration sample.

  • Publication number: 20040023395
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and compositions for the generation of high yield, super-productive transgenic plants that are disturbed in Ran/Ran-binding proteins-mediated cellular processes. Specifically, the present invention relates to a method for generating transgenic plants overexpressing in a sense or an antisense orientation Ran or various Ran-binding proteins to modify the biological processes in which those proteins are involved. These gene technologies provide ways to develop economically valuable super-productive crops the biomass and yields of which are increased 1.5-2.5 times or more those of currently available wild type crops. These increases in size and/or length can be seen in several organs of transgenic plants including leaf, stem, flower, roots, and seeds.
