    Abstract: An apparatus and method for controlling the transmission power of a DSCH in a mobile communication system is disclosed. In the DSCH transmission power controlling method, a UE generates information for controlling the transmission power of the DSCH based on a channel condition determined by the reception power of a CPICH from a node B transmitting the DSCH to the UE, and then transmits the power control information to the node B.
