  • Patent number: 8919967
Abstract: A micro projection system includes a primary prism as a light guide device. The primary prism has a bottom face and two slope faces. A light source module and a collimation lens are arranged at the bottom face of the primary prism to project red, green, and blue lights onto one of the slope faces of the primary prism to be consolidated by a wedge prism group and reflected toward a polarization beam splitting wedge prism arranged at another slope face, where the light is split into two polarized lights that are then emitted out of the primary prism to be processed and combined as light of consistent polarization by a lens array and a polarization conversion film so as to facilitate condensation and projection of the light by a polarization beam splitter and a projection lens.

  • Publication number: 20140204459
Abstract: A high efficiency light combination module of projection system includes a cubic polarizing beam splitter prism serving as a main body around which four lens arrays, three retarders, and three optical plates are arranged, which is used in combination with coatings that enables transmission or reflection of specific lights to allow different color lights incident from different directions to be combined as a single illumination light beam and to allow the single illumination light beam so combined to be uniform by the lens arrays to facilitate light collection and projection by a panel and a projection lens arranged behind. A polarization conversion film is set at light outgoing port to transfer the polarization states of the combined single illumination light beam into a specific polarized light for a liquid crystal projection system.

  • Patent number: 7090350
Abstract: An optical projection system can receive a red light beam, green light beam, and blue light beam. The optical projection system includes a color-combination prism, and the light beams respectively enter the color-combination prism from three surfaces and are combined into a mixed light beam, which exits from another surface. A projection lens set receives the mixed light beam to perform the projection. Each of the light beams further includes a liquid crystal reflection panel and a wire grid polarizer (WGP). The liquid crystal reflection panel is parallel to the corresponding surfaces of the color-combination prism. In the design, before the light beam entering the color-combination prism, they are first reflected by the WGP onto the liquid crystal reflection panel, and the liquid crystal reflection panels respectively with a polarizing state reflect the light beams, passing through the WGP and directly propagating toward the color-combination prism.

  • Patent number: 7086738
Abstract: An optical projection system has a parallel light source for producing a parallel light beam. A first color splitter splits the parallel light beam into a first color beam and a color mixing beam. The color mixing beam includes a second color beam and a third color beam. A first both-side telecentric group is disposed on a first light path of the first color beam, so as to transform into a first light beam. A second both-side telecentric group is disposed on a second light path of the color mixing beam. A second color splitter is disposed on the second light path to split the color mixing beam into a second light beam and a third light beam. A light-combining unit receives the first, second, and third light beams and combines into a mixed beam. Then the mixed beam is projected.

  • Patent number: 6604828
Abstract: The present invention generally relates to an optical projecting system having a light generating means, a light splitting and synthesizing means, a beam polarization converter, a red light reflective crystal panel, a green light reflective crystal panel, a blue light reflective liquid crystal panel and a projecting lens. The beam polarization converter polarizes lights to a specific polarization distribution. Further the light splitting and synthesizing means splits the polarized light to three beams with different colors respectively. Thus, three different color beams are modulated by three reflective liquid crystal panels to produce three color projecting beams. After the light splitting and synthesizing means synthesizes the color projecting beams, the synthesized projecting light is emitted out via the projecting lens.
