Abstract: A plasma display panel (PDP) and a flat lamp using a boron nitride bamboo shoot (BNBS). The PDP includes a front substrate and a rear substrate opposing each other and having a plurality of discharge cells between them, a plurality of address electrodes arranged on the rear substrate in parallel to each other, a plurality of sustain electrodes arranged on the front substrate in parallel to each other and crossing the address electrodes, a dielectric layer arranged on the sustain electrodes, and a plurality of secondary electron emission electrodes arranged on the dielectric layer in parallel to each other and corresponding to the sustain electrodes, respectively. The secondary electron emission electrodes include the BNBS.
