  • Patent number: 8136733
Abstract: A vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL) barcode scanner uses a VCSEL light source module as a required light source for scanning or reading a barcode. Since a vertical cavity features extremely small thickness, capability of generating a longitudinal single-mode, low current, low power consumption, and high stability, components of the scanner can be miniaturized, thereby reducing the manufacturing cost and assembly difficulty and improving the practicability of the product.

  • Publication number: 20030101159
Abstract: A personal information website system comprises at least a data processing center, a plurality of electronic network name cards and a barcode transmitter; the data processing center stores a great amount of personal or organizational website address codes and service information; the electronic network name cards are printed with the website address barcodes; the barcode scan input device of the barcode transmitter is used to read the barcode on the name card and to convert it into a website address so as to quickly get on-line through a mobile phone or a computer for inquiring the data and the service items of the said website or storing the said read barcode data in a memory of the barcode transmitter for a long term; accordingly, the efficiency of being able to get on-line quickly, light and easy for carrying is thereby achieved.

  • Patent number: 6481628
Abstract: A pen-type barcode scanner for reading barcode image carried by an object. The barcode scanner features brightened and concentrated reflected light reflecting from the barcode image thereby benefiting a more reliable inlet signal. In addition, the energy used can be saved while the reliability is increased. The barcode scanner features a light source device, i.e. an LED chip, which is located on a light path adjacent to an approaching end. By this arrangement, the emitted light can be completely projected onto the barcode image thereby enhancing a reflected light from the barcode. Accordingly, the reflected light can be readily processed to decode the information carried by the barcode.

  • Publication number: 20020145046
Abstract: A multifunction optical mouse compromising a hollow enclosure containing two mechanisms: a movement tracking mechanism and a bar code scanning mechanism. On and off a switch on the mouse enclosure switches the mouse to the mouse cursor indication function or the bar code scanning function. The output port of the mouse connects to outside devices either through a wire or wireless mechanism.
