Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate to computer systems and methods for derivative or perpetual transactions. The systems and methods involve a plurality of user devices having an interface for the system, the user devices associated with user accounts, each user account having one or more perpetual positions. The systems and methods involve a processing system that includes one or more processors and one or more memories coupled with the one or more processors, the one or more memories storing instructions for a risk engine capable of managing perpetual futures for the trading accounts, each of the trading accounts having its own perpetual positions. The processing system receives input from the interface and generates output for transmission to and display at the interface.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are battery systems for electric vehicles. A battery may include a plurality of electrochemical cells and an flexible circuit disposed above the electrochemical cells. The flexible circuit may be generally defined by a longitudinal and lateral axis. The flexible circuit may include a positive conductive path, a negative conductive path, at least one opening extending through the flexible circuit, at least one expandable positive interconnect capable of electrically connecting the positive path to a positive terminal of an electrochemical cell, and at least one expandable negative interconnect capable of electrically connecting the negative conductive path to a negative terminal of an electrochemical cell. The positive and negative interconnects may be expandable in at least the transverse direction and may extend from an edge of the at least one opening and terminate at a connection pad.

Abstract: Techniques are presented for skew exception detection within a parallel processing environment. A potential exception is detected when a highest load of a processor within the parallel processing environment exceeds an average load within the parallel processing environment by a given threshold. The potential exception can become a legitimate exception when it exists for a qualified period or time or when it exists and no qualified period of time is noted. In an embodiment, checks for the potential exception occur and are wholly contained within a given configurable interval.

When a predetermined set of cells visible in the annotated view are subsequently displayed in another view, the annotation may be retrieved via the cell links and an indication of the annotation may be provided.

A set of parameters uniquely identifying an annotated data object may be converted to an index comprising a set of index values, each corresponding to a column in a homogeneous index table. In order to accommodate the indexing of heterogeneous data objects, a mapping may be provided for each different type (or classification) of data object that may be annotated, that defines how the identifying parameters of that type will be mapped to the columns of the homogeneous index table.

Abstract: The present invention generally provides methods, systems, and articles of manufacture for managing an annotation system that includes storing annotations for a document family, i.e., a series of versions of a data source. Annotations created for one version of the data source may be viewed in context from both subsequent and prior versions of the same data source. Embodiments of the invention associate annotations with both a data source “family identifier” as well as a “version identifier.” Other than adding a family ID to the data source, the data source remains unchanged. The family ID is maintained across different versions of the data source, whereas version IDs are determined for a specific version of the data source. Version IDs can be constructed from each data source directly, and do not need to be stored.

Abstract: A graphical query interface provides visual feedback to a user during the construction of a query. In a first embodiment, the visual feedback helps the user determine the quality of the query as the query is being built. The relationship of columns in the database is graphically displayed to a user. When the user selects a column in the database, a filtered display mechanism displays only those columns or records that satisfy the portion of the query already constructed. In a second embodiment, the visual feedback eliminates some possible selections in the query tree due to previously-made selections that eliminate the eliminated selections as possibilities. In the second embodiment, the visual feedback mechanism may function according to data values in columns, and may also function according to known relationships between columns themselves.

Abstract: A graphical query and data mining interface provides visual feedback to a user during the construction of a query that helps the user determine the quality of the query as the query is being built. The graphical query and data mining interface determines relationships in the database from a database relationship document, such as an XML document. These relationships may be between columns, including columns in different tables. The relationship of columns in the database is then graphically displayed to a user. When the user selects a column in the database, a filtered display mechanism displays only those columns or records that satisfy the portion of the query already constructed. In this manner dynamic information is provided to the user as the user builds the query that indicates to the user the quality of the query.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and articles of manufacture for proving global annotation services are disclosed. Global annotations are used to annotate a data element independently from the internal representation of a data element employed by a particular software application. Data elements are normalized into a form used by a global annotation system to identify the data element, and corresponding global annotations, independent from the application in which the data element may appear. An annotation cache may be used to store the global annotations that have been created for a particular data source, improving the efficiency of the global annotation system.
