  • Publication number: 20120257966
Abstract: A turbocharger has a turbocharger housing. Wherein at least one section of the turbocharger housing is configured divided along a longitudinal axis into at least two housing halves. A bearing block device is provided in the turbocharger housing and receives a shaft and impellers of the turbocharger. The shaft with the impellers can be preassembled in the bearing block device and then inserted into the turbocharger housing.

  • Publication number: 20120177482
Abstract: A guide vane of a turbo-compressor has variable turbine geometry, in particular for a motor vehicle. The guide vane has a profile with a lower side, an upper side and a front edge. The guide vane is characterized by a nose which extends along the front edge of the vane, from the front edge of the vane to the upper side of the vane and forms a low pressure on the upper side of the vane when waste gas impacts the guide vane. A guide vane configuration, a turbo-compressor, a motor vehicle and a method for operating this type of turbo-compressor are further disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20110286838
Abstract: A turbocharger with a variable turbine geometry device has one or two blade bearing rings. At least one or more fastening elements are provided for fastening the one or two blade bearing rings. The respective fastening element has at least one section formed with a knurl and/or at least one section formed with at least one or several notches.

  • Publication number: 20110027074
Abstract: A securing element includes a head section and a shank. The cross-section of the shank changes in the axial direction in such a way that, by taking into account a qualitative and/or quantitative predetermined bending torque profile in the shank, the cross-section has a substantially uniform bending stress profile in the shank in relation to a securing element with a constant shank cross-section. An exhaust gas turbocharger having variable turbine geometry includes a VTG-guide vane configuration having at least one such securing element and being secured to a housing component of the exhaust gas turbocharger.

  • Publication number: 20110014032
Abstract: A vane grille arrangement of an exhaust gas turbocharger with variable turbine geometry, contains at least one carrier ring formed from at least one sheet metal part and used to mount VTG guide vanes, the VTG guide vanes being rotatably mounted in recesses of the carrier ring. Ideally, an exhaust gas turbocharger has such a variable turbine geometry.

  • Publication number: 20110014036
Abstract: A heat shield, in particular for a turbocharger, has a disk or a pot shape which is stepped once or multiple times. The disc or pot shape has an outer edge, and the outer edge is provided with at least one opening section. The opening section forms a web section with the outer edge, said web section being bent outward in order to form a spring arm. The web section is either designed as closed or as open at one point.

  • Publication number: 20110000209
Abstract: A turbocharger has a wastegate duct that can be opened and closed by way of an actuator. The actuator encompasses a closing element that can be pivoted into the wastegate duct to close the same. This allows the required closing force, and hence also the size of the required actuator, to be reduced.
