  • Patent number: 8985134
Abstract: A pressure relief device for pipeline networks includes first and second safety valves, each having an inlet side and an outlet side. The first safety valve is connected to a line of the pipeline network by its outlet side. A connecting pipeline extends between the two safety valves and connects the inlet side of the second valve to the outlet side of the first. A supply line carries a working fluid to the connecting pipeline, a supply-line safety valve for the supply line, and a discharge line connected to the connecting pipeline for removing working fluid carried to the connecting pipeline by the supply line.

  • Patent number: 5413528
Abstract: Air conditioning (AC) system for motor vehicles comprising two fans connected in a series circuit whereby the first fan provides only a part of the air required for admission into the passenger compartment, and the remaining contribution to the desired quantity of air is provided by the second fan. Under normal operating conditions, where all openings such as windows, doors and sunroof (if any) are closed, both fans are independently regulated by a main controller device in such a manner that the air on the passenger compartment experiences a slight overpressure in order to permit the rapid entry and exit of air flow through the passenger compartment and a uniform air circulation therein. A manometer is included in the AC system to provide air pressure differential data (between the passenger compartment and the outside) to the main controller.

  • Patent number: 4242950
Abstract: A temperature-control system for a vehicular passage compartment having a pair of sides is provided with a housing forming an elongated mixing chamber having a fresh-air inlet slot and a modified-air inlet slot each extending substantially the full length of the chamber which also has a pair of outlets each at a respective longitudinal end of the chamber. Fresh air is fed to the chamber through the fresh-air inlet slot and either heated or cooled air is fed to the chamber through the modified-air inlet slot. A conduit leads from each of the outlets to a respective side of the motor-vehicle compartment so that a mixture of temperature-modified and fresh air can be fed to the two sides of the passenger compartment. A deflector is longitudinally displaceable in the chamber along one of the inlet slots, normally the modified-air inlet slot, and partially blocks this one slot in any position therealong.
