  • Publication number: 20050236748
Abstract: A roll-down tube for a pneumatic spring which is fitted to a shock absorber having a cylinder tube and a piston rod, the roll-down tube having an internal contour which is fitted to the cylinder tube and a longitudinal axis corresponding to the piston rod. The pneumatic spring includes a rolling bellows having one end fitted to a cap fixed to the piston rod and another end fixed to the roll-down tube, the roll-down tube being formed by two molded plastic shells which are fitted together.

  • Publication number: 20050236749
Abstract: A cover assembly for a pneumatic spring having a rolling bellows includes an inner cover part having a radially outward facing clamping surface, and an outer cover part having a radially inward facing clamping surface. One of the clamping surfaces is radially elastic and exerts a pretensioning force on a bellows clamped between the clamping surfaces.

  • Patent number: 5636831
Abstract: A shock absorber with a pneumatic spring, has a spring carrier against which a roller tube is braced, which roller tube together with a spring bellows and an outer tube forms a spring chamber. There can also be an end cap braced against that end of the spring carrier facing the outer tube, wherein that the roller tube and the end cap are connected to form a structural unit, whereby the connection permits axial relative movement between the end cap and the roller tube, at least for assembly.

  • Patent number: 5575360
Abstract: Pneumatic spring comprising an elastic rolling bellows connected to a tubular body. The elastic rolling bellows, together with an essentially rigid external tube, forms a spring chamber. A bellows fastening is disposed between the rolling bellows and the external tube, whereby the rolling bellows are inserted into the external tube in a fastening segment, and are held in place by means of a retaining ring. The retaining ring, by means of its inner surface can act as a guide with respect to the rolling bellows connected to the tubular body, so that the external tube is kept at a distance with respect to the part of the rolling bellows connected to the tubular body.

  • Patent number: 5518225
Abstract: Pneumatic spring, consisting of a spring bellows acting as a rolling bellows, whereby the spring bellows border a spring chamber provided with a gas charge under pressure, whereby the spring bellows are connected on one hand to a roll-off tube and on the other hand to an axially-movable outer tube, a connection to a compressed gas supply, whereby the outer tube is also actively connected to a vibration damper filled with damping medium and which has a cylinder in which a piston on the piston rod moves axially and which has a connection to an equalization chamber, whereby the unit consisting of the pneumatic spring and vibration damper contains fastening elements for the connection, whereby the roll-off tube and the cylinder form the equalization chamber, which is bordered on the end by a base of the roll-off tube.

  • Patent number: 5480129
Abstract: Pneumatic spring comprising an elastic expansion bellows, a receptacle fastened to the expansion bellows, at least one fastening element between the expansion bellows and the receptacle, a point where it is attached to the vehicle chassis, a piston rod of a shock absorber which has a shock absorber outer tube, which represents an unrolling surface for the expansion bellows, and connection mechanisms on the piston rod and on the shock absorber outer tube respectively for the attachment of the pneumatic spring shock absorber unit inside a vehicle chassis, characterized by the fact that the expansion bellows has a connecting piece which is braced against a piston-rod-side end surface of the shock absorber outer tube and that the receptacle has a cover, which interacts with a seal and which is braced against an axial mounting surface, which executes a relative motion in relation to the outer tube of the shock absorber identical to the motion executed by the vehicle body, whereby the axial fastening of the pneumat
