    Abstract: In a method for drying and/or crystallizing bulk material, a drying medium is passed through bulk material present in a drying chamber and the drying chamber with the bulk material is put under a partial vacuum at least for part of a drying time of the bulk material. A device for performing the method has at least one drying container with a drying chamber for bulk material, at least one supply line for a drying medium connected to the at least one drying container, and at least one return air line connected to the at least one drying container. At least one partial-vacuum generator is provided to put at least the drying chamber under a partial vacuum at least for part of a drying time of the bulk material.

    Abstract: Before being processed, bulk material is dried in a storage container. A drying medium such as air is passed through the bulk material for drying. The drying medium heats the bulk material and removes moisture at the same time. For dehumidifying the drying medium, a dehumidifying unit with a Peltier device is provided whose cold side and whose hot side are positioned within the flow path of the drying medium. The drying medium loaded with moisture is passed across the cold side and dehumidified. The hot side of the Peltier device is used to preheat the dehumidified drying medium.

    Abstract: A device for pneumatically conveying bulk material has at least one flow limiter arranged in a conveying airstream. The flow limiter has a housing and at least one control member arranged in the housing. The control member controls a flow velocity of the conveying airstream as a function of a dynamic pressure differential. The position of the at least one control member in the housing is determined by an equilibrium between a restoring force acting on the at least one control member and an opposed force oriented in a direction opposite to the restoring force. The opposed force is caused by the dynamic pressure differential and acts on the at least one control member.

At least one outlet is provided, and the metering element feeds the dry bulk material to the outlet. The metering element transports the dry bulk material in a direction different from a horizontal direction and comprises at least one helical stay. The outlet has an outlet pipe that extends into the lower area of the storage container. The helical stay interacts with the outlet pipe for effecting transport of the dry bulk material.

    Abstract: A drying device for drying bulk material has one or more storage containers for the bulk material and a heating device for heating the drying air for drying the bulk material. A drying air conduit is connected to the heating device and the storage containers and guides the drying air to the storage containers. One or more first mixing valves are arranged in the drying air conduit upstream of the storage containers, wherein the first mixing valves are used to adjust the temperature of the drying air before the drying air enters the storage containers. The heating device has also the function of regenerating the drying units provided for removing the moisture from the drying air.
