  • Patent number: 7693122
Abstract: A wireless network with distributed medium access control allows establishing of a virtual channel between a source node and a destination node via at least one intermediate node. The virtual channel may be established for the entire duration of a communication between the source node and the destination node, and, to establish the virtual channel, a request handler can transmit a virtual channel request, requesting an allocation of transmission resources for the virtual channel. Based on the virtual channel request, a virtual channel confirmation can be generated by the destination node and can be returned to the source node, indicating an allocation of the resources for the virtual channel. A communication handler can then transmit data from the source node to the destination node using the available transmission resources.

  • Patent number: 7593735
Abstract: In order to transmit data packets between a wirelessly connectable communications device and a communications partner, particularly during a handover process, the invention provides that when a first wireless transmission path is available, an availability of at least one additional wireless transmission path is detected. Based on the detection, a specific assignment schema, via which at least one portion of the data packets is assigned to each of the transmission paths, is selected according to specific transmission requirements and/or to a transmission protocol to be used for transmitting the data packets. An address specification specific to the transmission path is then assigned to a respective data packet that is assigned to a transmission path. By using the assigned address specifications, the data packets are transmitted via the different transmission paths between the communications device and the communications partner according to the selected assignment schema.

  • Publication number: 20040240414
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for carrying out a QoS-oriented handoff between a first and a second IP-based, especially mobile IPv6-based, communication path, between a mobile node (MN) and a correspondent node (CN), the second communication path being part of a number of communication paths which can be accessed by the mobile node, with no, one, or a plurality of intermediate instances.

  • Patent number: 5562926
Abstract: A film blowing plant for manufacturing plastic films from thermoplastics, having a blow head, above which is disposed an air cooling ring (1) and behind it in the direction of movement of the film a measuring device for the film thickness, whereby the cooling capacity across the circumference of the tube can be controlled variably by altering the throughput quantity of the air cooling ring (1) and respective adjustment in every region is controlled according to the measurement values of the measuring devices, and the air cooling ring (1) has openings (4) distributed across the circumference in front of air outlet (2) in the region of and in the flow direction of the air (3), through which air is supplied or released.

  • Patent number: 4836744
Abstract: A take-away device for a flattened tubing foil forming machine having an improved foil edge position control. The take-away device for tubing foil is formed by an extruder with a tubing blow head carrying out a blowing process. The tubing foil is flattened between a pair of squeeze rollers, which pair of rollers can reversingly turn about a vertical axis of rotation. At least two turning rods are disposed following the squeeze rollers. The turning rods are pivotable about at least one vertical axis, and have, if necessary, at least one deflecting rod. The rods are pivoted by a frame member about a horizontal axis of rotation. A winding-up device receives the flattened tubing foil from the turning rod. A measuring instrument is disposed between the final turning rod from which the tubing foil is guided to the wind-up device, and the wind-up device.

  • Patent number: 4717323
Abstract: A device for cooling foil tubing as it issues from an annular nozzle surrounded by an annular air outlet orifice. A first cylindrical chamber is connected in the direction of the course of the foil tubing to the air outlet orifice, and has an iris diaphragm at its upper end. The air flowing into the chamber flows out between the inner rim of the diaphragm and the foil tubing. At least one first additional chamber is connected to the first chamber at the other side of the iris diaphragm. The additional chamber has a first additional iris diaphragm at its upper end which has an adjusting mechanism independent of the iris diaphragm at its upper end of the first chamber. The walls of both chambers are constructed of solid material.

  • Patent number: 4643656
Abstract: A take-away device for a plastic tubing produced in a blowing process in which the tubing is flattened by squeeze rollers followed by a pair of take-away rollers. The pair of take-away rollers which have horizontal axes of rotation swivel reversingly about a vertical axis of rotation. The flattened tubing is fed to a stationary wind-up device, whereby two turning rods over which the flattened tubing is guided, are arranged between the take-away rollers and the stationary wind-up device, and swivel reversingly about the vertical axis of rotation of the pair of squeeze rollers. The first turning rod can thereby be swivelled about a first vertical axis which, together with the take-away rollers, swivels about the vertical axis of rotation of the pair of take-away rollers.
